10/15 149.4 Head back in the game after this maintenance trend since round 53. I do feel really good at this weight, but would like to drop a little bit more before I call it official. I don't want my maintenance to fluctuate so close to the next decade!!
10/16 DNW I had a meeting with my staff yesterday and they surprised me with a feast of homemade food, so pretty much threw in the towel as I had to fully indulge and appreciate the love that was given through their food. Scared to step on the scale, only the second time this has happened on this journey. I feel so bloated today, but such is life. I plan on a today being a great day!
10/17 150.6 Did really well yesterday, this is the fallout from the weigh in I skipped. I am pre tracking my food today, walking the hill, drinking at least 12 of my big 14 oz glasses of water today, and practicing gratitude.
Looking to get out of maintenance to lose these last 10 or so lbs. My body feels good except for the inevitable AM bloat from eating carbs I think. Planned my day based on hitting my protein goals first.
10/18 148.8 Yay! Pretracking works, driniking lots of water works! got in about 98 oz yesterday, which is not quite the lofty goal I set but had me consciously drinking more and often. Only downside is dreams at night of having to pee and getting up too many times. But I'll take this lower number in exchange anyday! Plan on repeating the plan today, with a mini goal of getting to 147.xx this round. Have a great day everyone!
10/19 148.8 The road to somewhere?? is paved with good intentions...twins came over last night and spent the evening holding babies, DH cooked, son made empanadas, caved for warm bread lathered in butter and ice cream...new day today. Not going to bat myself on the head, instead just embrace today as a new day! After a day like yesterday I definitely don't feel hungry today, which is a good thing since I will need to have a low cal day to balance out yesterday's fun! Lots of water is the intent again today.
10/20 150.6 Cause and effect. And there it is, 2 days later. Lots of water again today and pretracking.
10/21 150.6 Did good until I didn't.
10/22 WEIGH IN DAY 147.6 Surprised and pleased to see this number on the scale. Though I say I am not "tied to a number" I guess I am. The only thing I have been diligent this round on is my hydration, I have skipped logging a couple of days, I have skipped my hill, but this is the first time I have put so much intention on drinking a LOT of water. So that being said, water weight it may be, but I am happy happy happy nonetheless to show a loss today! My baby turns 17 tomorrow, but since I made cake earlier this week for no reason and indulged, I will skip tomorrow :-)
10/23 Sadly lacking in sticking to it. Should I just call it maintenance? That's what I have been doing, which in itself I suppose is a success, except that this "maintenance" is not how I imagined it. I imagined that "maintenance" was going to be me being so together and intuitive and just knowing how to eat. I did not think I would be going back to my old ways of eating too much, albeit followed by getting back in control. Will I ever just be able to eat normally, meaning not be tempted to overeat homemade tortilla chips or fresh baked goodies? My tummy feels so full and bloated this 6 am. I am bummed that I overate again last night after a really good day.

Day/Weight/Comment
10/15 – 161.9 - Early to the gym today as hubby needed the car so posting late. Sure feels good to have worked the muscles a bit.
10/16 - 162 – Argh, the last few weeks coming home to roost. Having fed the cravings monster faithfully, now have to beat it back and kick it out. Listened to Youtube last night and someone made an aside comment about the theory that what we eat promotes certain bacteria in our gut so if we eat lots of sugar/carbs we will crave that because that is what our gut bacteria now want.
10/17 - 161.4 Gym today. Got some apples in the house again. They are so good at this time of year and keep me from other desserts/snacks.
10/18 - 161.2
10/19 - 160.8 – Good day yesterday. Still a little over cals. but not with sugar/fat. Got a few things done that have been sitting there forever it seems. One was so fast I can’t believe I procrastinated on it so long. The other is slow, as I guessed it would be, but at least I can see it chipping away.
10/20 - 162 – Sigh, LNS again, at least not too bad on the calories. Have to wonder why what seems so self-sabotaging in the morning can seem so reasonable at night. Need to think – “Will I regret this tomorrow morning?” not “This won’t really matter, I can get away with it because I went to the gym.”
10/21
10/22 – 160.6 - This is better, but need some days within my cals. to get out of the 160’s. No gym today as I need to get the leaves raked while they are still dry for my leaf chopper. Thankful for the beautiful crisp fall weather we’ve been having but also ready to be finished with outside jobs. We usually get cold rain/snow for Halloween and then freezing temps. through Nov. with the real snow coming later that month.
10/23 – 161.8 – Well, got my leaves done and my arms are sore but it’s not showing up yet.
10/248 -

10/15 - Monday - 183.4 - Birthday celebrations increase - to be expected. Gave myself some grace this weekend and getting back at it today!
10/16 - Tuesday - 184.2 - Did NOT get back at it yesterday. Mom wanted pasta and any excuse is a good excuse for pasta to me. Then I continued the gluttony with a brownie after dinner that made my tummy hurt. And now I am REALLY getting back to it today. Had smoothie, fish oil and took meds already this morning. Going to prelog the day and make it a good one, no matter what I eat - I will eat the correct portion size.
10/17 - Wednesday - 184.0 - House guest kindly bought us pizza for dinner as a thank you last night - I had no self control and ate 3 pieces and was hungrier after so I kept eating like the hungry caterpillar. Oh well moving on! Missed my morning goals to trade for extra snuggle time. If I've learned anything so far - its that I just gotta keep trying, despite the trips, stumbles, and falls!
10/18 - Thursday - 181.2 - Alright! Not enough water yesterday. Working on that today. Kept dinner reasonable yesterday with leftover soup and a piece of bread and butter. I wanted something sweet after so badly but fortunately we didn't have anything! Prelogged today and its helping me stay on track better, even when things change I know where I'm at better than logging after the fact. Did 10 minutes of stretching and core work last night - just enough to feel my muscle work and get some endorphins flowing - then took a sauna and relaxed myself to bed early! Wasnt able to get up when I first woke - rolled around til 7 - really need to stop doing that and wake up with the stretching in the morning too maybe - it made me feel great! Started the day with smoothie and fish oil and even remembered my meds! My libra weight trend app started really getting me down as it showed my 170 goal wont be achieved until JUNE! I want to be 150 by june! But it's not the apps fault Its just been a ton of celebrating and that is something I'm learning how to work through, emotional eating as celebration is just as damaging as emotional eating to ease pain so I'm working on that especially during this upcoming season of celebrations!
10/19 - 180.0 - A super strong day yesterday. Hit all my goals yesterday and mostly this morning (failed to wake up early - always and forever a struggle). No packed lunch but craving a salad for lunch so Wendys salad it is. Still 600 calories but it's a treat! And I was looking at some other restaurant salads - 1200 calories!!! We have friends coming over tonight and I'm not sure dinner plans either. Rolling with it but making better choices this weekend because that is where I fall short and have ended up losing and gaining these same 4 lbs for the past month and a half.
10/20 - Saturday - 177.0
10/21 - Sunday - 180.0
10/22 - Monday - 183.0 - Aaaaand I did not make better choices this weekend. Friday turned into an impromptu party at our house. I have not stayed up that late in forever. Worth it though - have not connected like that in a while. But the lowest weight Saturday was surely dehydration. Then PMS and hangover turned into an ugly monster and we cooked ALL DAY LONG just to be gluttons. This was not the food prep I had longed for lol oh no - it was pea soup and buffalo chicken mac and cheese and mulled cider and on and on. And then Sunday was the pot luck and I honestly did OK - not great but OK. TOM arrived this morning and I'm so bloated and what did I do? Stopped for a breakfast sandwich at dunks! Then I'm suddenly reminded that as winter approaches spring is that much closer too! And spring means the next phase of goals - be baby ready! So I'm letting my goals inspire me again. Letting the fire ignite my soul again so I can figure out how to navigate this season of celebrations without using food to celebrate every single time. Committing to being present here on the weekends again to be accountable!
10/23 - Tuesday - 182.6 - TOM is making me SO hungry. Ate dinner last night and then HAD TO HAVE a pb&j roll up. I tried to drink water and do something else for a while but I was still hungry. I didnt log yesterday either. Getting a little too loosey goosey with logging. Havent been actual grocery shopping in forever - kinda just getting by. Blah, still on the struggle bus but I'm still trying! Water intake has been great, choices have still been better than this time last year, fish oil habit it coming back around, stress management is ever improving, I FEEL better, I FEEL stronger! Going to make some daily commitments for today which I've also been slacking on and get back to it.

You've come too far to weaken now! Just for today, follow the rules, pat yourself on the back before you go to bed, then get up and do it again tomorrow. Every day is a new start, a new opportunity to flex your muscles and fight off unhealthy thoughts and temptations by turning your thoughts and actions in a healthy direction. It's work, but your prize will be your beautiful, fit body! You can handle this!
I'm a 5'5" woman, and I'm just over 10 lb. behind you on this journey. Don't let me catch up!7 -
@denswrex Those last 10 lb. are the hardest for most of us. I'm glad you're going to persist and give it your best today! And the next day! It may not seem fair that we have to work harder as we get closer to our goal, but we have more energy to work harder as we get fit. It's an opportunity to participate in sports and activities you couldn't participate in before. I hope you're taking advantage of the opportunities--walk, run, play tennis, racquetball. Those are some of the things I did, and I had a blast! I let an injury, doing yard work, set me back for almost 6 years. I hope I've learned my lesson. Don't let anything stop you!5

ROUND 56 (Round 3 for me)
5’5” 65 y/o Texas Lady
SW 178 lb.
GW 140 lb.
Third week on Keto WOE and impressed with decreased arthritis hip and shoulder pain. Yay!
Round 54 – SW 178 lb. down to 171.8 lb. (6.2 lb. loss) This was my beginning of eating keto and tracking calories.
Round 55 – Finished at 170.0 (1.8 lb. loss)
Day/Weight/Comment
10/15 169.2 This is the number I wanted to see yesterday, but today’s good, too. It was raining when I woke up for my walk with Thor (my GSD). So, we slept another 1½ hours, and it was still raining. I’ll have to exercise inside today. Thor can run in the yard, and I’ll dry him off. I’m happy I mowed my yard and burned my brush piles before the rain started. I'd rather work outside, but I'll bake oatmeal cookies for my thin husband, cook Turkey Cabbage Stew to portion out and freeze, and do my husband's ironing so he'll look well cared for. After the rain stops—plant winter garden. Praying for a blessed day for all you fellow losers! I love being a (weight) loser.
10/16 168.4 Unexpected! I hope it doesn’t come back tomorrow. I have lunch at the women’s club meeting today—good time to practice restraint in preparation for the 10-day tour in New England states next month.
10/17 167.4 Really? Just to be sure, I got on the scale again, and verified the number. I’m keeping it! Thor and I did our 3+ mile walk this cool morning. The side is kinda blown out on my right walking boot, but I didn’t wear my newer pair because I realized this lets my toes spread and prevents the pain from my Norton’s Neuroma (small tumor between my toes). The Lord blesses me in mysterious ways. 😊 I think I can credit this keto WOE for less arthritis pain in my back/hips and shoulder. Even if I wasn’t losing weight, it’s worth being able to get more done without pain.
10/18 167.4 I’m good with no change today. Didn’t get to walk today, but I had a great day hanging out with friends. I turned down sweets, but had a glass of wine. I hope it doesn’t haunt me tomorrow.
10/19 167.0 I like the way this is going! Thor and I got in our 3.2 mile walk today. Rain drops began falling on our heads before we reached the half-way point, but we didn’t let it stop us. The rain stopped, and the walk was enjoyable. When we started, herds of cattle would trot to the fence along the road to see if we had anything for them. Now, they’re used to us and just glance up and go back to grazing. 😊
10/20 167.4 The scale giveth and the scale taketh away. I prefer “taketh away.” (Sigh) I stuffed myself to get over 1000 calories last night. Perhaps I shouldn’t have bothered. No walk with Thor today, but a nice day with my husband--Gosnell movie, lunch, and shopping. I'm glad they put Dr. Gosnell away for life, but I'm afraid there are more "doctors" like him in other cities.
10/21 167.6 I may have to buy a new scale. I feel cheated. Oh, well. I had to get an early start and meet the gospel group I sing with for a couple of engagements today. I can walk tomorrow morning, and, perhaps, the scale will behave better in a couple of days. If I don’t get better numbers before the end of the round—out it goes!
10/22 166.8 Okay, my scale is back on track and has earned a reprieve. 😊 Thor and I are heading out for our walk in the cool, fall air.
10/23 165.8 Obviously, my scale is scared. I weighed 3 times, just in case the reading might change. Thor and I increased our walk to 4 miles yesterday. I hope Thor’s up to running with me, because after our walks increase to 5 miles, we’re going to start C25K. I can hardly wait!

10/22 - 177.8 ..... Got back home last night from my DB’s. I was afraid of the scale this morning with good reason! We are so close to the end of this challenge so I am very disappointed, but onward & forward it is. I know what to do and will be diligent with all my knowledge and tools starting today. I hope everyone will have an excellent & safe week.
10/23 - 177.8 ….. No Change. Not surprising. Another trip away from the country life here and back to the big city yesterday. Another trip planned for today in the opposite direction for building supplies while I can haul in truck without rain. Tomorrow will bring a long 4.5 hour trip to Univ of Mich for my mammogram and breast cancer re-check where I hope to find I am still in remission. I don’t hold out much hope for my weigh-ins for the remainder of challenge, but I can weigh each day before I leave for trips. I will not be able to weigh on the 25th because I will be at the Univ Hospital overnight. This round will not end well on the scale, but I have learned so much this round it is unbelievable! I continue to hold myself accountable with my logging and weighing (when able) which I hope will encourage me to make a few of my choices good ones, even in travel and where exercise is difficult.

10/16 / day 2 feeling good! No broken rules yet!
10/17 / day 3 challenging day at work so no lunch/no gym time : ( then starving at home but chose smartly (10 almonds) on my way to bus stop...no stuffing mouth with whatever I found in fridge (that's a WIN for me). Then normal dinner. Still no snacking after 7p! I almost broke the no ex. rule but found a way to sneak in a dog walk, albeit in a freak hail storm, behind my daughters dance studio..I should get an Oreo for that! Just kiddin. On my way to 130...I can almost taste it! ha, I kill me!
10/18 / day 4 getting on the scale today after my 30 in 30 class at noon!! fingers crossed!--> UPDATE DRUM ROLL....148.6 (-3.8)...ringing the bell!!! So happy, but cautious. This is the incentive I needed to make it thru the weekend. Football (GO SPARTANS and BILLS!!!) and 1st Halloween party . Good luck to everyone facing similar potentially ruff situs!
10/19 / day 5/ 148.4 ...frivolous Friday!! BRING IT! No broken rules.
10/20 / day 6/ ...Football (GO SPARTANS!)/Halloween party!... PARTY - 2 beers and 1 GF brownie which was (oh lordy..so good!). For the day +40c/+40sugar/+16carbs and 2 broken rules!! 1. I did not exercise, unless cheering at the SPARTANS game counts!, and 2. I ate after 7p...the party started at 7p! Still I felt good about the day..mainly cause the SPARTANS lost BUT the score was 13 14..which for us, is amazing!! What a great way to end the season...BILLS?...not so much.
10/21 / day 7...back at it. No broken rules. Feeling good!
10/22 / day 8 - time is flying. Gonna jump on the scale at lunch (after workout). I'm a bit nervous. 149 - I'm good with that.

10/17 149.4 I gorged on vegetables before my meeting so I wouldn't be tempted with the chips and chocolates. I resisted!!!! yay me! My anxiety was up, but I resisted. I did go over on my calories a little bit and had a lot of salt. I can bring this down by drinking lots of water when I get home. I can't drink at work.

@denswrex - You and I are in the same boat. I have spent the past 40 years either gaining weight or dieting. This year I have come to realize that I don't think I have the ability to intuitively maintain my weight. Even though I'm eating almost the exact same foods as I did when I started dieting this year in March, I still pull out the food scale to weigh my chicken, cheese, lunchmeat, etc. when I make my food for the day. I drink a glass of wine every night with my husband and I have a special glass that has an etching, so I know when I've poured the 4 ounces I allow myself. And...the daily weigh-in. This challenge has opened my eyes to how my body reacts to calories, sodium, and water. If I only weighed once a week, I may have the same weight, but not know if I'm on an upward trend or a downward trend. It sucks to have to think about doing this the rest of my life, but when I can throw on a pair of pants and not worry about them being too tight, when my hip doesn't bother me, and I can run up stairs and not get out of breath, I think it will be worth it. Since you've joined this group, you've been an inspiration to so many people, I know you'll succeed at this.9

This is my third round. I think the best part of this challenge is that in recording the weight every day with a comment, I talk myself down from the hype that comes with weighing myself every day. It’s so easy to have the scale affect my mood. This challenge reminds me that my goal for the 10 days is to lose 1.5 – 3 lbs and puts the scale—the ups, the downs, the lack of movement, the ups and downs…into perspective! Thanks everyone and good luck this round!

10/15 – 171 - Hopefully that means yesterday’s number wasn’t a fluke!
10/16 – 172 – High carb day yesterday & just within calories. My stomach is also a bit off.
10/17 - 173 - Short walk yesterday, missed the gym cause I was at the eye doctor.
10/18 - 172.5 - No gym or walk. Waiting for a package....and then it was raining. Did not eat well. Time to get back on track.
10/19 - 173 - Sigh. Hope this is just like the last 10 days...the up before the down. Exercised & walked yesterday, ate within goals.
10/20 - 170.5 - That's what I'm looking for! Did all the right things yesterday.
10/21 - 171 - Was at my son's band competition all day. Had an omelet for breakfast....and then cheese sticks & nuts at the competition and chia pudding when I got home. I pre-weighed the nuts, so all was fine calorie-wise. I'm thinking the up might be dehydration/sodium....Still planning on coming down before the end of the round!
10/22 - 171 - Long walk yesterday and good calories/macros. Feeling like I deserve to see something on the scale! BUT, NSV -- a friend at the gym who hadn't been there much in the past month told me I looked great and wanted to know how much I had lost!
10/23 - 170.5 - At least it's down a little. Was hoping for more. Over 18000 steps yesterday, including a walk, y-strong workout and zumba. Trying to keep reminding myself that the size 12 jeans I'm wearing (down from 16) are actually comfortable, so that I shouldn't be frustrated. But really wanting a bit of love from the scale.

10/15: 193.3! I’m very pleased with myself right now. Will be doing a lower body workout and yoga today.

Round 7 for me. I've not been consistent and dropped out in round 5 and messed up in round 6. This has resulted in a 2 pound gain, but to be honest, I needed to give the scale a break as it was making me more depressed than helping me focus. Anyway, I'm back with a refreshed mind and a fighting spirit. Goal to get to 190lbs this round.
good luck to you all.

Day/Weight/Comment
10/15- 184.2- good thing this went back down. Weekend didn't go as well as it could have to be honest but I packed a really healthy lunch today and the day has been good so far! Will go to the gym to workout later in the day after my class. I'm a little behind on biochemistry due to my biology exam last week so will be catching up on that today until class starts.
10/16- 184.4- Not upset over this. I think it will be better tomorrow. I worked out yesterday. Won't be able to today. Have a lot of studying to do today.
10/17- 184.0- Yay. Hopefully I'll be 183.something tomorrow? I've been eating on the higher range of my calorie goal this past week so I'm going to try to eat on the lower side today and get a bunch studying done. So far so good.
10/18- 184.6- lol omg.
10/19- 185.0- okay. No. We're not doing this. I know the scale will probably be even higher tomorrow as well so I'm anticipating that but starting tomorrow we're going back to the previous week's meals because those gave me much better results. We're trying to get to at least 182. Here we go!
10/20- 186.0- It's okay. We're back to business today even though it's Saturday lol
10/21- 185.7- This will go down more tomorrow. I'm sure of it.
10/22- 184.8- slow and steady. will do the same thing today and hopefully it'll keep going lower. I'll try to end in 183.something by being under calories today and tomorrow. Not quitting or taking a break until I get to 180.0 this time. Can't keep relapsing.
10/23- 184.5- Will continue to stay under today and hopefully we'll have at least a 1 pound total loss by tomorrow. Kinda bummed out that I didn't get to my goal, but I ate badly those few days that led to the upwards fluctuation so you reap what you sow. Will not do this again and I am determined to get to 180 and won't stop until it's done. Hopefully by the next round.

10/15: 250.6 - ate too much
10/16: 248.8 - hoping I have a good drop this round.
10/17: nwt - forgot to step on the scale.
10/18: 250 - I've been having a hard time staying within my calories because people keep bringing treats to work. I have to stop accepting them but it's so hard. I plan to do better starting today! No more snacking and I'm going to stick to my meal plan! I'm also going to do 30 minutes of cardio each night if not more. I need to get this weight off so I can reward myself and go shopping. I told myself I can't buy new clothes until I drop another dress size.
10/19: 247.8 - stuck to my calories and got on the stationary bike for an hour. I'll try to stick to this again today!

Trying to catch up here. My tiredness was unprecedented!
•Thank you for all your amazing alternative water and tea recipes. They do make it easier to get on your hydration.
@abowersgirl, you are more then welcome for the tea and infused water recipes. Every little bit helps when working on losing weight.
•"Happy 365! One year of dedication! And thanks for sharing that recipe! "
@MyEvolvingJourney, Thank you so much! Doesn't even seen like it's been that long. I've been blessed to be so focused.
•"LOL on the use of the word carnage. It is how it feels, for sure. During the food or wine is great, but the afterwards........ yes, it feels like carnage."
@deepwoodslady, Donna, I didn't even eat that much, but because I was eating foods low in protein, I felt ravenous! It took a LOT of control to get through that day. I had fleeting feelings of giving in and I just thought of that word, carnage, which it literally felt like.
@mthomas0228, @GrandmaJackie, @jerier, @SheilaBoneham,@abowersgirl, @bubblegum2fitness, @denswrex, @DebCountsAll, @TerriRichardson112, @MyEvolvingJourney, @deepwoodslady, @fraukazi, @AJB1014
Many, many thanks to all of you for your compliments concerning the flower wall. @DebCountsAll, YES it was definitely a labor of love and I would do it again a million times for my dear friend.
And OH MY GOODNESS, Thank you so very much for complimenting my looks! Very unexpected. I personally do not like photos of myself. I thought twice about posting that one. @abowersgirl, YES indeed, the people in my family carry their weight very well, until we don't. Lol. For me that was 240-253lbs😖 @deepwoodslady, I look like I'm 150lbs! For real! I'm gonna put you and @abowersgirl in my pocket and take you everywhere I go. 😁
Back to catching up!

Round 56: SW 208.8# EW :

SW 208.8#
CW 208.8#
GW 200#
UGW 150-175
Day/Weight/Comment
10/15/ 208.8#. I found that 19 ounces of squash with a little butter and sugar is about 300 calories. Very filling and helped my stay under my calories.
10/16 207.6#. (-1.2) Started my day tired. Met someone for lunch, so I splurged. I stayed under my allotted calories for the day. 🤩
10/17 208.2# (0.6#) still down half a pound from the start. Not going to fret about it. Got some exercise in. Went over my allotted calories, but stayed under 2,000 so I'm good with that.
10/18 208.4# (0.2#) tried to drink more water today. I've been very bad about water and have only been drinking about half. 3rd day in a row for eating out.
10/19 208.8#. Back to my starting weight on Monday. BUT I am down 2.6# from last Friday! I am eating out for supper tonight. Planning on bringing my own homemade dressing though. Can't wait! Ate so much today. Completely went nuts. Felt terrible ALL day. 😖🤢🤯
10/20 208.6#. I think I've been eating too much sugar or fat. I've had quite a bit of heartburn the last couple of days.
10/21 207.6#. Plesant surprise, I was actually expecting this to be up today. I'm happy with how today went. Still battling heartburn. I'll have to try to pinpoint it.
10/22 206.2#. Terrible, terrible 🍕🍕🍕🥗🍕🍗🍕🍕
10/23 207.8# tough day today. I did manage to stay under 2,000 calories. I fought off the urge to splurge on ice cream! I can't believe it! I'm happy with how it went.

ROUND 14 FOR ME.
10/24 - …..
Praying for safe travel, good choices, opportunities to walk and climb stairs, and no signs of trouble in your test results. God bless you.
