"The King of Hearts", old French foreign film depicting a napoleonic war era village in which two armies fight to the death, the villagers flee and the people in the insane asylum come out and start running the town. Seems like a good metaphor for today.

I like The Gods Must Be Crazy, both 1 & 2; Manon of the Spring and the two that follow, all in French with subtitles, which I think are also in French, but I don’t care - the movies are beautiful! A lot of Hitchcock movies, as well as Mel Brooks movies, both old AND new martial arts movies; The Librarian series...a wide range of topics! And many others, as well. I like a well written, well directed, and well acted movie.0
