Did a 200k brevet Saturday, beautiful day out. But i needed to drive to work all week so i missed out on a lot of commute miles. Did manage one trainer session though. Good week overall.

128 miles this week and the highlight was taking a big chunk off my best time on the iconic Zig Zag Road up Box Hill (Surrey).
Weather has really cooled down and the amount of clothes worn on the bike has quadrupled....
Not looking like I will hit my climbing goal for the month as I'm running out of days and opportunities to ride.

That turned out to be pessimistic as last day of October was fine and bright but chilly and as I knew it would bug me all winter if I didn't meet my goal it was time to wrap up and get it done.
Everest climbed in October personal challenge - Everest is 8848m high so thought that would make a good challenge to finish off the outdoor cycling season before it gets too cold and miserable to ride much. 8904m climbedd but had to push myself to "make the summit". Set a load of hill PRs today which seems appropriate, as does having no feeling in my frozen fingers and toes.

Short ride last weekend, my kiddo horked his chain and we ended up limping home early for 26 miles and 2200 feet. And i didn't manage any trainer time this week. Quite a sad report this one!
