YEAH! finishing out this round strong with the scale down a couple of pounds. It was a really busy 10 days for me, with multiple work related trips. I didn't weigh in everyday and I didn't always log religiously, but I did fit in exercise. Excited for the next round!

    SW: 212 (9/2017)
    GW: 170

    End of round 55: 194.6
    End of round 56: 192.6 (-2.0 lbs)

    Day/Weight/comment

10/15: 196.2 -- what? This is the highest weight that I've seen in a while and it is super discouraging. I've been logging religiously and working out- I guess I've got to lower my calories.

    10/16: no weight, work travel

    10/17: no weight, work travel

10/18: 196.2 -- STILL. I guess this isn't surprising. I was very sedentary the last few days and the work trip came with lots of eating events. I am bummed though because I was hoping the 196 number was a fluke. I guess I need to own it. Today my goal is to stick within my calorie range and show a big deficit. I also want to get my body movin'!

10/19: 194.2 -- this seems a little back to normal. I did pretty good with my food yesterday but my portion sizes were a bit too large last night at dinner. I did make it to lunchtime spin class which was a feat given my crazy schedule yesterday. Today is Friday and I've got a super healthy lunch packed. Planning to hit the gym at lunch- or maybe head outside for a run if the sun comes out. I've had a long week at work and I'm looking forward to the weekend.

10/20: 193.6 -- Yay it's Saturday! It's beautiful weather, and I'm headed to a great afternoon party at a friend's farm this afternoon. Weight down a little. Yesterday I ran for 2 miles after work even though I did not feel like it AT ALL. I kept trying to talk myself out of it. Why do we do that to ourselves? Anyway, today I plan to get in a strength workout before heading to the party.

10/21: 195 -- What? Oh well. Party was fun and I had two IPAs so maybe that has something to do with it. I'm trying not to drink too much alcohol these days. I love having a glass or two of wine in the evenings and beer outdoors when the weather is nice, but I need to really limit my intake in order to meet my overall health goals. I do feel better when I don't drink. Before the party, I hammered out a strength training workout, it's been a while since I've done any strength stuff besides yoga, so I am going to feel this one!

10/22: 193.2 -- Monday, Monday. Yesterday was amazing- I hauled my horse down to the national forest with a friend and we rode for 5 hours on beautiful forest trails. My husband is the best for watching the kids so I could get one last good ride in before the rains come! It was a great workout and left me full of love and gratitude. Today it's back to work and the usual hustle and bustle of the week and trying to make everything work. I have no idea how to get in a workout today, honestly. Tomorrow I head on ANOTHER work trip, and I am a little nervous about making it all work, but I will do my best.

    10/23: no weight, work travel

10/24: 192.6 -- got back from another work trip, but doing alright! I did pretty good on the trip. Enjoyed food but tried not to overdo it. Got in a killer cardio workout in the hotel gym yesterday, and this morning did a 45 minute yoga practice that had me sweating, so I fit in 7 days this round. Excited for the next one!

Exercise goal: 7 of 7 days (horse back riding (2x), spin class, strength training, running (2x), and yoga)

My 5th round and I am on Poon Diet - low carb, low fat, high protein - or what Iike to call "proteins 'n greens"

    R52 SW 174.0 EW 166.2 (-7.8)
    R53 SW 166.2 EW 164.2 (-2.0)
    R54 SW 164.2 EW 161.6 (-2.6) TOTAL -12.4!!
R54 SW 161.6 EW 160.4 (0) Thanksgiving - Shark Week - Possessed by the pumpkin pie demons -no dessert was safe.
    R55 SW 160.4 EW 157.0 (-3.4) TOTAL -17 lb!!

    Day/Weight/Comment
10/15 - 161.6 back on wagon for 3 days and fingers crossed the scale will budge
10/16 - 160.4 (-1.2) well after sacrificing Thanksgiving leftovers to the Glucose Gods at the alter of the green bin they have rid me of a lb of flesh. Learned alot this last round. Off to build a bunker so food is safe over Christmas.
    10/17 - 159.6 (-0.8)
    10/18 - 158.8 (-0.8)
10/19 - 158.0 (-0.8) I got on scale twice today. Usually I do that when I gain weight to will the numbers to go down. This time I did it because I could not believe it. Xgiving aside, I do not have CRAVINGS. I am not hungry. I am not eating rubbish from cardboard boxes that taste like you've licked the wrong end of a skunk. I eat chicken, salad WITH oil, pork, broccoli, and now tomato salad with cucumbers etc. I do NOT eat carrots, milk products, beets, handfuls of nuts and brown rice and G2 - all stuff I ate thinking I was eating healthy and yet for me kept the scale from budging. Type 2 diabetes runs in my family - eating Low glucose foods, "proteins&greens" has worked for me. I share this to encourage those out there who like me, thought this was plonk and thought they would try counting points one more time or whatever-diet-out there limits carbs and high glucose foods and then gets nowhere and beats themselves up over failing again. It is not you. It is not your exercise program or lack thereof.
It might be high sugar/carb foods you are eating. Try it. I am not a doctor so check with yours to make sure. Read about the doc poon. I keep my MFP macro at 10/30/60 - carb/fat/protein. I read labels now and if the Net carbs are greater than 2 per servings I put it back. I only eat unprocessed foods like mum made. I cook turkey chicken etc in big quantities and freeze it into meal portions.

Why am I blithering? I wish I had done this long ago - mind you if I did WW would be broke! LOL. It is a good program it just did not work for me because I was not counting my total carbs and eating too many carrots, corn, beets, yogurt which for me did not work. Stop beating yourself up i would say to myself, try something different - it took an endocrinologist who understands Type 2 diabetes to say - try this, it works for people like you.

I hope you all keep looking to find the tool that works for you and don't beat yourselves up. Be good to yourself today.
    10/20 157.8 (-0.2)

    10/21 157.6 (-0.2)
    10/22 -
    10/23 -
    10/24 157 (-0.6)

    TOTAL LOST = 161.6-157=4.6

@eminater, ? I have not seen a post for a while from her. She is always upbeat, but I know from her last posting that she said she was losing motivation. I hope that she is just busy with family life.

Thanks @tiabirdie56 for thinking of me ... I was losing motivation, but have also just been on holidays and without internet access ... so that's the main reason. I have gained quite a bit on the holidays but feel ready to restart right now!! So ... fingers crossed I am in for a good round 57.

I moved from the UK to Cyprus in July last year, I have put-on a few ponds on over the Summer - too much summer socialising, I've just found this challenge. I have my sons wedding next year to prepare for.

    Round 56
    Age 56
    Height
    Starting weight 178.9

    10/18 178.2lb
10/19 177.1lb surprised, but was really strict yesterday logged everything I ate.
    10/20 177.8 2 glasses of wine and 3 chocolates / not good
10/21 178.9 Out for dinner last night and 2 glasses of wine disappointed
    10/22 178.9 No change
10/23 177.6 back on track just allowing myself 1 treat a day
    10/24 177.6 No change.

Really Happy with the challenge as I am 1.3 lb lighter ready for the next 10 days
    Starting Round 57 tomorrow!

    @fraukazi
After a week I noticed that I have 2 notifications :) . Wine was good, very good. And I had a small talk with some nice people. One of the ladies asked what wine I was drinking and if it was a sweet one. When I told that I prefer dry wine in general and due to lower calories, I was told that I am so thin that I should not bother about calories at all. Unfortunately I have to :/
