I didn't count yesterday but only ate dinner. My husband cooked. Something in it bothered my stomach and I am not feeling great today.

Feeling better today, met a friend at the park with my sons. I have various food allergies and intolerances and pork has been disagreeing with me lately. I think that is what made me sick before.

This is my third round. I think the best part of this challenge is that in recording the weight every day with a comment, I talk myself down from the hype that comes with weighing myself every day. It’s so easy to have the scale affect my mood. This challenge reminds me that my goal for the 10 days is to lose 1.5 – 3 lbs and puts the scale—the ups, the downs, the lack of movement, the ups and downs…into perspective! Thanks everyone and good luck this round!

10/15 – 171 - Hopefully that means yesterday’s number wasn’t a fluke!
10/16 – 172 – High carb day yesterday & just within calories. My stomach is also a bit off.
10/17 - 173 - Short walk yesterday, missed the gym cause I was at the eye doctor.
10/18 - 172.5 - No gym or walk. Waiting for a package....and then it was raining. Did not eat well. Time to get back on track.
10/19 - 173 - Sigh. Hope this is just like the last 10 days...the up before the down. Exercised & walked yesterday, ate within goals.
10/20 - 170.5 - That's what I'm looking for! Did all the right things yesterday.
10/21 - 171 - Was at my son's band competition all day. Had an omelet for breakfast....and then cheese sticks & nuts at the competition and chia pudding when I got home. I pre-weighed the nuts, so all was fine calorie-wise. I'm thinking the up might be dehydration/sodium....Still planning on coming down before the end of the round!
10/22 - 171 - Long walk yesterday and good calories/macros. Feeling like I deserve to see something on the scale! BUT, NSV -- a friend at the gym who hadn't been there much in the past month told me I looked great and wanted to know how much I had lost!
10/23 - 170.5 - At least it's down a little. Was hoping for more. Over 18000 steps yesterday, including a walk, y-strong workout and zumba. Trying to keep reminding myself that the size 12 jeans I'm wearing (down from 16) are actually comfortable, so that I shouldn't be frustrated. But really wanting a bit of love from the scale.
10/24 170.5 - Ah well.

10/15: 250.6 - ate too much
10/16: 248.8 - hoping I have a good drop this round.
10/17: nwt - forgot to step on the scale.
10/18: 250 - I've been having a hard time staying within my calories because people keep bringing treats to work. I have to stop accepting them but it's so hard. I plan to do better starting today! No more snacking and I'm going to stick to my meal plan! I'm also going to do 30 minutes of cardio each night if not more. I need to get this weight off so I can reward myself and go shopping. I told myself I can't buy new clothes until I drop another dress size.
10/19: 247.8 - stuck to my calories and got on the stationary bike for an hour. I'll try to stick to this again today!

Round 56: My 23rd round!!
10/15 158.6 BMI=23.8!!!!
I was on a 3 day/2 night trip- ate 1 meal out each day (which I never do) & tracked all, walked over 37K steps. Lost 0.2lbs. I’m thrilled. The other trip we took, I gained & was hungry all the time. Pleased this one worked out!
10/16 157.0 BMI=23.5!!!! Lowest Weight Yet!!!
This is a Huge day for me!!
On the day of my fall & arm break, my weight was 157.8. Immediately after, it went to 161, and after surgery, it immediately went up to 165.8. All Along, despite being hugely disappointed with the weight gain, I kept walking/exercising and tracking all of my food carefully. I hope it was just water.
Today was my Reward.
Only 7 pounds to my Final Goal Weight!!
10/17155.4 BMI: 23.3 Oh My Gosh Lowest I’ve weighed since 9th grade OMG 💝🙏🏻😀🍀
Probably more water loss & maybe some loss of muscle since I’m just walking now

Perfect Storm: A trip, house guests, disruption of routine, 3-4 medical things hanging over me, spouse very stressed by work, but the real culprit is my addiction: Eating Out!
Positives: walked 14,914 steps per day in the past week!
Tracking all.
Calories eaten under calories burned.
Staying positive and calm despite unknown medical info over next 3-4 weeks.
Likely much of this “gain” is due to salty food. I still fit in my thin clothes.
On to Round 57!!! 💪💪💪💪

Round 55: SW 175.8 EW 177
🎯Mini Goal: 173
10/15 176.4 - It's my "Friday" today and I'm excited! I'm off tomorrow, then I work 1/2 a shift then I'm off the rest of the week!
I think I'm going to make it my goal this round to exercise 6 out of 10 days.
10/16 176 - I spent 10 minutes on the elliptical last night before deciding I just wasn’t feeling it, so I went for about a 10 minute walk. Today I’m off and I’m thinking of going for a walk today. We’re going to Chipotle for dinner tonight! I’m excited, I love Chipotle! 🙂
Exercise 1/6 is complete!
10/17 175.2 - Awesome! I had a really nice walk yesterday. And I got to eat one of my favorite dinners! And...nsv! I went to Victoria's Secret because I had a gift card. I've never shopped there before because I guess I assumed they wouldn't have my size. They did a fitting and the size gave me a surprise! I thought oh my gosh have I been buying the wrong size all along? Does anyone know? Are their cup sizes different? Anyway, I felt so confident and happy in a bra that actually fit me right! It makes such a difference! For the first time in a long time I was happy with what I saw in the mirror! Such a good feeling!
Exercise 2/6 is complete!
10/18 176.6 - Huh. The only thing I can think of is that dinner the past couple of nights was kind of high in sodium. Last night, I started feeling some IBS symptoms so I'm feeling pretty bloated. Not sure what's causing it. Hopefully it passes soon.
10/19 176 - I ended up at the dentist office yesterday. I knew that I need a root canal and it was scheduled for next month. My tooth broke, and it was hurting so I went in yesterday. The dentist that does the root canals was already off for the day, but they said that they are able to fix the tooth and do the root canal so I'll be doing that Tuesday morning. No fun! Thankfully it's not hurting right now.
Other than that I was within calories yesterday and I did not meet my step goal. Will go for it today!
10/20 176 - Hmmm...I'm thinking it's maybe time to lower my calories a smidge and see if that makes a difference. I spent most of last round hanging around 176 despite being within my calories. I'm still not going over. I did get in an evening walk last night for exercise 3/6.
10/21 174.8 - It was a fun day yesterday! My son had a cross country meet. We were freezing, but it was fun! He and I took a walk beforehand and we both jogged a little.
I had an exciting NSV! When I was getting dressed for the meet, I pulled a pair of jeans on and realized they felt different. I've been wearing my size 16 jeans even though they're slightly loose. These jeans fit comfortably. I quick like pulled them down to check the size and did a happy dance! They were the size 12 jeans I had bought last year! I had bought them last November and was so excited to be in a smaller size. By the end of January, they would no longer fit me, being much too tight. I'm so excited to be able to wear them again!
Tonight I have a family dinner and I'm going to do my best to stay on track.
Exercise 4/6 complete!
10/22 175.6 - I got in a short hiit workout yesterday. Yesterday as pretty good. I feel like I ate pretty well, I did have a family dinner and I didn’t do a bunch of snacking, which is a win for me. Tomorrow will be better. Exercise 5/6 is complete!
10/23 175 - Yesterday was a totally crazy day at work and I one point I began to feel overwhelmed. When I got home, I was considering a glass of wine or some cider but we had neither. Which worked out! I spent the evening just relaxing. Today, I'm working just half a shift because I have a dentist appointment. I'm actually kind of looking forward to it. I haven't been able to eat things like salad in at least a week. I've been choosing things that are easy to chew. It'll be nice to eat normally again! I do want to meet my minimum step goal today. Have a great day everyone!
10/24 173.2 - Woo hoo! I had a mini goal of 173 pounds and I wasn't sure I was going to make it this round. But here it is!
I did not meet my step goal yesterday. I was hurting pretty bad after my dentist appointment so I spent the rest of the day resting. Doing much better today. I might still try and get some exercise in today so I can complete my goal of 6 days of exercise during this challenge. Will update you later!8 -
Round56-
Day/Weight/Comment:
10/15- Finally seen some good results at the scale. Eating lots of vegetables.
10/16- Planned meals, and lots of vegetables, getting my steps up. Starting to fit into some of my clothes.
10/17- Had another great day! Eating healthy.
10/18- Doing great with healthy eating I just have to get the exercise in.I went to the hairdresser and she styled my hair so you cannot see where I lost the hair due to radiation.
10/19-Eating healthy, steps up--- 11,000
10/20-Still trying to keep from eating bread, pasta... Eating a lot of vegetables.
10/21- Great day! Really watching what I am eating- next week goal more exercise.
10/22- Busy day! Worked on lots of stretching. Walking steps were up today.
10/23-It was a take easy day. Eating healthy!
10/24-Walking steps were up over 10,000 steps, feels good to be back on track.10 -

10/15/ 208.8#. I found that 19 ounces of squash with a little butter and sugar is about 300 calories. Very filling and helped my stay under my calories.
10/16 207.6#. (-1.2) Started my day tired. Met someone for lunch, so I splurged. I stayed under my allotted calories for the day. 🤩
10/17 208.2# (0.6#) still down half a pound from the start. Not going to fret about it. Got some exercise in. Went over my allotted calories, but stayed under 2,000 so I'm good with that.
10/18 208.4# (0.2#) tried to drink more water today. I've been very bad about water and have only been drinking about half. 3rd day in a row for eating out.
10/19 208.8#. Back to my starting weight on Monday. BUT I am down 2.6# from last Friday! I am eating out for supper tonight. Planning on bringing my own homemade dressing though. Can't wait! Ate so much today. Completely went nuts. Felt terrible ALL day. 😖🤢🤯
10/20 208.6#. I think I've been eating too much sugar or fat. I've had quite a bit of heartburn the last couple of days.
10/21 207.6#. Plesant surprise, I was actually expecting this to be up today. I'm happy with how today went. Still battling heartburn. I'll have to try to pinpoint it.
10/22 206.2#. Terrible, terrible 🍕🍕🍕🥗🍕🍗🍕🍕
10/23 207.8# tough day today. I did manage to stay under 2,000 calories. I fought off the urge to splurge on ice cream! I can't believe it! I'm happy with how it went.
10/24 208#. Down 0.8# for this round. I did not end the round well. It was a terrible week! Ended up being too busy and having to order take out way too much! Hoping for a better next round.
AW 208#.8 -
I did get in a short walk tonight! Exercise 6/6 is done! I think I'm going to set the same exercise goal for next round. It helped me stay on track!7

ROUND 57
https://community.myfitnesspal.com/en/discussion/10702840/just-give-me-10-days-round-57/p1?new=10 -
YEAH! finishing out this round strong with the scale down a couple of pounds. It was a really busy 10 days for me, with multiple work related trips. I didn't weigh in everyday and I didn't always log religiously, but I did fit in exercise. Excited for the next round!
SW: 212 (9/2017)
GW: 170
End of round 55: 194.6
End of round 56: 192.6 (-2.0 lbs)
Day/Weight/comment
10/15: 196.2 -- what? This is the highest weight that I've seen in a while and it is super discouraging. I've been logging religiously and working out- I guess I've got to lower my calories.
10/16: no weight, work travel
10/17: no weight, work travel
10/18: 196.2 -- STILL. I guess this isn't surprising. I was very sedentary the last few days and the work trip came with lots of eating events. I am bummed though because I was hoping the 196 number was a fluke. I guess I need to own it. Today my goal is to stick within my calorie range and show a big deficit. I also want to get my body movin'!
10/19: 194.2 -- this seems a little back to normal. I did pretty good with my food yesterday but my portion sizes were a bit too large last night at dinner. I did make it to lunchtime spin class which was a feat given my crazy schedule yesterday. Today is Friday and I've got a super healthy lunch packed. Planning to hit the gym at lunch- or maybe head outside for a run if the sun comes out. I've had a long week at work and I'm looking forward to the weekend.
10/20: 193.6 -- Yay it's Saturday! It's beautiful weather, and I'm headed to a great afternoon party at a friend's farm this afternoon. Weight down a little. Yesterday I ran for 2 miles after work even though I did not feel like it AT ALL. I kept trying to talk myself out of it. Why do we do that to ourselves? Anyway, today I plan to get in a strength workout before heading to the party.
10/21: 195 -- What? Oh well. Party was fun and I had two IPAs so maybe that has something to do with it. I'm trying not to drink too much alcohol these days. I love having a glass or two of wine in the evenings and beer outdoors when the weather is nice, but I need to really limit my intake in order to meet my overall health goals. I do feel better when I don't drink. Before the party, I hammered out a strength training workout, it's been a while since I've done any strength stuff besides yoga, so I am going to feel this one!
10/22: 193.2 -- Monday, Monday. Yesterday was amazing- I hauled my horse down to the national forest with a friend and we rode for 5 hours on beautiful forest trails. My husband is the best for watching the kids so I could get one last good ride in before the rains come! It was a great workout and left me full of love and gratitude. Today it's back to work and the usual hustle and bustle of the week and trying to make everything work. I have no idea how to get in a workout today, honestly. Tomorrow I head on ANOTHER work trip, and I am a little nervous about making it all work, but I will do my best.
10/23: no weight, work travel
10/24: 192.6 -- got back from another work trip, but doing alright! I did pretty good on the trip. Enjoyed food but tried not to overdo it. Got in a killer cardio workout in the hotel gym yesterday, and this morning did a 45 minute yoga practice that had me sweating, so I fit in 7 days this round. Excited for the next one!
Exercise goal: 7 of 7 days (horse back riding (2x), spin class, strength training, running (2x), and yoga)3 -

10/15 - 161.6 back on wagon for 3 days and fingers crossed the scale will budge
10/16 - 160.4 (-1.2) well after sacrificing Thanksgiving leftovers to the Glucose Gods at the alter of the green bin they have rid me of a lb of flesh. Learned alot this last round. Off to build a bunker so food is safe over Christmas.
10/17 - 159.6 (-0.8)
10/18 - 158.8 (-0.8)
10/19 - 158.0 (-0.8) I got on scale twice today. Usually I do that when I gain weight to will the numbers to go down. This time I did it because I could not believe it. Xgiving aside, I do not have CRAVINGS. I am not hungry. I am not eating rubbish from cardboard boxes that taste like you've licked the wrong end of a skunk. I eat chicken, salad WITH oil, pork, broccoli, and now tomato salad with cucumbers etc. I do NOT eat carrots, milk products, beets, handfuls of nuts and brown rice and G2 - all stuff I ate thinking I was eating healthy and yet for me kept the scale from budging. Type 2 diabetes runs in my family - eating Low glucose foods, "proteins&greens" has worked for me. I share this to encourage those out there who like me, thought this was plonk and thought they would try counting points one more time or whatever-diet-out there limits carbs and high glucose foods and then gets nowhere and beats themselves up over failing again. It is not you. It is not your exercise program or lack thereof.
It might be high sugar/carb foods you are eating. Try it. I am not a doctor so check with yours to make sure. Read about the doc poon. I keep my MFP macro at 10/30/60 - carb/fat/protein. I read labels now and if the Net carbs are greater than 2 per servings I put it back. I only eat unprocessed foods like mum made. I cook turkey chicken etc in big quantities and freeze it into meal portions.
Why am I blithering? I wish I had done this long ago - mind you if I did WW would be broke! LOL. It is a good program it just did not work for me because I was not counting my total carbs and eating too many carrots, corn, beets, yogurt which for me did not work. Stop beating yourself up i would say to myself, try something different - it took an endocrinologist who understands Type 2 diabetes to say - try this, it works for people like you.
I hope you all keep looking to find the tool that works for you and don't beat yourselves up. Be good to yourself today.

Thanks @tiabirdie56 for thinking of me ... I was losing motivation, but have also just been on holidays and without internet access ... so that's the main reason. I have gained quite a bit on the holidays but feel ready to restart right now!! So ... fingers crossed I am in for a good round 57.
