My journey into weight lost started a year ago where I lost a lot of weight. I started at 90 and went to 72 in a year through diet and exercise.
Skip to now and i am 80.

This time around I just cant stop eating after a day left so of dieting.

Do you have any suggestions...please
I can't seem to go back yo how I was 8 years ago ie when I had no kids. 😥😥

Welcome to the MFP Community. :)

I assume you're talking kilos, not pounds in terms of your weight? 8 kilos to lose (80 to 72) is totally do-able! Set your goal here on MFP to 0.5 kilos per week and eat the calories that are suggested. Since you don't have that much to lose to get back to 72, you don't need to do any sort of drastic diet and you shouldn't aim for some sort of crash loss. Log your foods and beverages here. Weigh the solids in grams and measure the liquids in mls. It's a bit of a pain when you start, but once you get your foods in the database it goes quickly the next time you want to log a food.

Sounds like you're a bit overwhelmed. Maybe it would also help to take a look at some of our "must read" threads in the Getting Started section:

@786FiftyFive How are you doing? I just seen your post. It sounds like you want to lose about 10# (at least to start with ) is that correct? May I ask, what worked well for you in the past?

Commit to logging your food, the good, the bad and the ugly. Usually people self-correct when they see the results of their eating. So, if you binge, or go out to eat and splurge, just commit to logging it, no matter what. Then baby steps from there. Minor changes that you can commit to for the rest of your life.

I still eat out. I still splurge. I still have ice cream or chocolate every day. But I stay within my calorie limit (most of the time). I do plan on Thanksgiving and Christmas Days both being free-for-alls. But two days out of my year are not going to ruin my progress at all.
