Anyone suffered with blood clot in the head? (Cerebral Venous Sinus Thrombosis / cvst )

Diagnosed 6 weeks ago. Currently housebound and still really I'll. Putting on weight and feeling generally crap. Mostly very lonely and not many people seem to have suffered the same. anybody had this? How soon until you felt back to normal? Unable to do my normal activities still and going out of my mind. Just want to get back to doing everything but understand I need to be careful. Would be good to speak to others who have some experience. Thankyou.

No experience with this, but sorry to hear what you're going through.
You said you're very lonely, which is understandable. I hope you're reaching out to friends, family, neighbors, etc.

Thankyou ❤ unfortunately not got too many people around me. Especially hard as nobody can physically see what's wrong with me. Being stuck indoors doesn't help as unable to do any of my hobbies which sucks. Thank you x5

*hug* that sounds really rough I’m sorry. I had a pulmonary embolism (blood clot in lung) last year & I’ve had a concussion since September. I don’t know what yours is like, but I do know blood clots are scary & head stuff is deeply frustrating to deal with.
Are there any new hobbies you would want to try? I don’t know what you’re allowed/encouraged to do, but with my concussion crafts were okay & light exercise was encouraged.2 -
I currently have a cranial DVT as well. I contracted COVID and a result of that is a blood clot in my head. I gained a LOT of weight, almost overnight due to lack of physical activity and the steroids they gave me in the hospital. I've been back to work for a few months now. My doctors said that I can do light fitness ie walking on a treadmill. I'm supposed to avoid anything that would cause me to "bear down and strain" such as weight lifting. I take the blood thinner Pradaxa. I have also experienced people looking at me differently. I am in the Army and because you can't physically see my injury, I have a lot of people judging me and it's gone so far as to being punished for my medical situation. I am an instructor but I'm not allowed to teach because I'm over weight according to the Army's weight requirements. They also took away my promotion status. So I completely understand where you're coming from. I try to not let it get me down but it's a struggle every day. I just try my hardest to lose weight as fast as I possibly can without causing further injury to myself.15

Not sure if that is the same as having a stroke? I had a stroke in 2020. It turned my life upside down for a period of time as I was unable to go to work or exercise. It became quite hard on my mental well-being. A year and a half later I have found my stride again. It’s not the same life I had before - some changes imposed on me, some deliberate changes. I wish the best for you! I hope you have a good r covert. Don’t forget that your mental health will be affected as well as your physical. Take care5

According to what I've read, a blood clot in the head is called a stroke. Yeah it's derailed my life a bit. I'm not sure but I think there might be some lingering after affects. I have another MRI scheduled and follow-ups with the hematologist and neurologist.2
