I’ve lost two stone since February and have another 2.6 to go but 1.5 until I’m in the top of the healthy weight range for my age, height. I’ve been doing well recently but seem to have stalled and it’s frustrating!

I’m on 1410 a day and MFP reduces my calories every time I input weight loss so I shouldn’t think it’s a plateue although it feels like one 😒

I just feel so fed up as my efforts aren’t showing but I don’t know why. I’m also logging tightly so it shouldn’t be my underestimating calories.

Anyone had this and how did you get over it?

How long have you been stalled? How much weight have you lost in the last 4 weeks?

Hmm well about 1-2lbs. I can’t seem to get below a certain lb. the weird thing is I can almost see the gain in my lower stomach, thigh and inner knees. If it’s water retention I’m not sure what’s causing it. I do try to drink water though drinking lots of water never used to be a condition for me to lose weight.

Honestly, once you get closer to goal, 1-2 lbs in a month can happen unfortunately. I really don't know much about the specifics of water retention so I can't help you there! Did you make any changes to your exercise or the foods you eat during this time? A new medication?

Whenever I had a month like that, I would set aside a few minutes and go back over my food diary. Look for new patterns, do a gut check about how carefully I was choosing entries and weighing portions.

If you want to, you could post your height and weight, or temporarily make your diary public, to see if fresh eyes can catch something. Otherwise, it might just require a couple more weeks of patience, as tough as that can be. Good luck!
