So I increased my veggies and rapidly gained weight...

On a former post where I was craving carbs on keto (which I'm doing for my epilepsy) people suggested to add foods like leafy greens and other low carb veggies. I did what was suggested and cut out the very fatty stuff like cream cheese and fat bombs while replacing the calories with nonstarchy veggies like salads. I'm still keeping my NET carbs very low. It's been less than a month since the official switch and I've gained 20 pounds. In addition to that, I woke up this morning incredibly bloated. What's going on? Here are examples of my meals.

Are you accurately counting and logging the calories in those foods?
Weight gain/loss is about how many calories you're eating, not how many carbs (net or otherwise) you're eating.23 -
You need to talk to your doctor. Keto for epilepsy is serious business, and an online dieting community is the wrong source of advice for you if you're having problems (and gaining 20lbs in a month counts as problems in my book). I'm sorry, what a drag.36

I do weigh and log. In fact, after cutting out the fat bombs and cream cheese while replacing with lots of nonstarchy veggies, my calories actually lowered slightly (200-300 less). Even if I was miscalculating, 20 pounds in a month seems very off.1 -
There's these pics too. Most recent on the right. My stomach has been distending several inches after meals, lately. If anyone here can relate or went through similar, please share xoxo

When did you last poop?13

Don't you have gastroparesis? I thought you had said that a while ago.2

Stand up straighter. It looks like you are exaggerating your posture in the second pic.31

pregnant?9

20 pounds weight gain? Where? I think your scale is broken. I find it impossible to believe that you gained 20 pounds of fat in a month.
Get to the hospital if that's true.19 -

I do but it's currently being managed by meds. Or its supposed to.0 -

No. I had a hysterectomy.2 -

I cant. When I'm bloated, it affects my posture especially when I'm cramping0 -

Yesterday. Had to use a lax though because I hadn't gone before that in 2 weeks.1 -

given this post just over 2 months ago, it looks like there's some serious crash dieting going on, maybe that's whats causing the crazy weight gain?12 -
Looking at the photos, you've sacrificed fat and protein for the carbs in veggies, which for an epileptic isn't what you want to do. The good news is that what you've gained is most likely water weight. Minimize or eliminate your use of tomatoes, onions and peppers. Those are high carb. Even low carb veggies, like the cauli-rice in that photo, can be too many, such as that cauli-rice. A serving size is no more than 4 ounces (1/2 cup). You have several days' worth of cauliflower on that plate, and that's for those that are doing a weight loss version of keto, not a therapeutic version. Remember that in general, keto friendly veggies are those with leaves.
Since you're supposed to be eating a therapeutic ketogenic diet for epilepsy, your macros will be different than those for weight loss. A therapeutic version of the ketogenic diet consists of a higher fat intake of 90% fat with an absolute minimal amount of carbs and protein. There are under 2% carbs in this “hyperketogenic” variation. Therefore you need to MINIMIZE your vegetable intake, not increase it.2 -
That's definitely a gastroparesis food baby stomach. Fibre is very bad for a lot of us with GP. Maybe it's aggregating it?15

Crash dieting is eating barely below maintainence? I eat 1500-1600.1 -

Even when on medicine it's still bad?0 -

I think it's just posture- look at the angle of her back and legs. It's not 20 pounds. I mean, her breasts and rear look larger to me in the first image.7 -

That's what I did previously. But then made a post on here that I wasn't satisfied because I'm a volume eater. The people who commented recommend increasing non-starchy veggies. I was still under and/or at maintainence (depending on the day). I'll often get the prepared bags of riced cauliflower and containers or bags of leafy greens, etc so it's easier to scan/measure. My net carbs are still very low. When I do use onion/tomato, it's minimal. Majority comes from lettuce, spinach, and riced cauliflower. Net carbs are 1-2.0 -

Depends on how well the meds worked but yes for me. I pretty much failed all the meds though and just got a j tube so I'm not necessarily a good example. My stomach looks like that after eating.3 -
If you haven't had a bowel movement for 2 weeks until using a laxative, I'd say that is reason enough to be feeling bloaty. It's possible you're getting too much fibre, that can cause constipation or diarrhea, bloating and abdominal pain (you mentioned cramps above).10

Even though technically my gastroparesis has resolved, if I ate a whole plate of cauli-rice or a bowl of raw broccoli right now, my stomach would blow up like a basketball and it would be a week before I could eat or poop again. My understanding with the meds is that they aren't a free pass to eat huge quantities of everything that directly triggers GP (like cruciferous vegetables!)--they just give you some "wiggle room" day to day.7

That's what worries me even more. I know its not muscle. After reading the other comment of the mentioning of "food baby" it really concerns me. I don't want my intestines to rupture.1 -
This seems like something you should take to your doctor asap.17
