Advice needed belly/hip fat

Hey everyone.

So far I haven't lost any weight on the scales. people are commenting on my shape changing BUT only below my hips! I can't seem to lose belly/hip fat. Has anyone tried the 30 day plank challenge and had success?
Or do you have any good exercises to target those areas? I have looked online but the research is conflicting. I have had 3 kids so I know it won't be easy but I need to lose this fat around my middle area as my jeans are now fitting lovely around my legs but I can't do them up 🙈
Thanks for any help.

Everyone has their own trouble spots. Yours happens to be hips and belly. Keep losing. How much do you have to lose? The last 10 pounds or so is typically when those last strongholds of annoying fat finally give up the fight.

    You can't spot reduce.

If you aren't seeing the scale move yet, tighten up your logging.

Start losing the lbs and see where your body decides to lose it from. Working out can help strengthen and protect the muscles you have while you lose weight so you look better as the fat comes off, but you have to be patient and let your body do what it's going to do. For most of us the belly and/or hip area is the last to go.

I haven't lost any weight at all so far. Have 37lb to lose but it's not shifting. I am not eating back my calories from exercise because according to that I have 1,800 left after which means I would be eating more than I do normally. I don't really understand why I am not losing anything at all but I will just keep going I suppose and see what happens.

I would add weight training and lots of squats and ab work. No, you cannot spot reduce but what you can do is get some muscle so that when you do lose the fat, you have some nice muscle. I have been doing this and my stomach and hips are so much tighter. Good luck. It will happen it just takes time.

Every possible reason you're not losing weight, and what to do about it: https://www.aworkoutroutine.com/why-am-i-not-losing-weight/

Also, the others are right - spot reduction isn't possible. Our fat distribution patterns (and where we gain/lose from first) are determined by our genetics and they can't be changed by any diet, supplement or exercise.
