There are HUGE discrepancies in the nutritional info in MFP in relation to the actual product ! Double check, I have come across SO many incorrect branded products. Either the Kj are way too low or way too high ! 🤔

Because it allows user entries in the database. You'll just need to double check.

I live in Canada. Sometimes the product labels can be different from the US (or any other country, but most of our imports come from there because proximity) because the recipe may be tweaked for different regions, the serving size can be off, etc.

Yes, there are discrepancies, but at least it is easy to create your own entries and have those foods at your fingertips for future logging. This works great for logging. I just wish it would track more nutrients. I use Diet Power and it tracks 26 compared to this 6. Diet Power enables me to see what supplements to take and how much.

Even though this seems like an ad more than anything, on Myfitnesspal you can track up to 13 different things, if you look at the Printable version, the default columns are:

Calories Carbs Fat Protein Cholest Sodium Sugars Fiber

The regular FOOD page has six columns, but Calories are not editable. That leaves five columns/headings to be chosen by the user. So theoretically you could track 13.

Supplements can be added to the FOOD page just like any other food.

Yeah, this is one major reasons, and also because products change over time and the entry may be old.
