The thing is, I really don't though unless asked, sometimes they ask me what i lost this week etc and I will respond but I never openly tell them

I'd shift the conversation elsewhere. Eventually they will get the point.

From now on I'd answer with 'i haven't... nice weather isn't it?'

Just to add, people are mean... groups of women are especially mean....

Alternate a soft drink with an alcoholic drink on your Christmas do and enjoy!

*kitten* yes! I work in an office comprised of 8 women, no men at the moment. It's a wonder we haven't burned to the ground yet...

^^^ I agree with all of the above! I can relate, the minute I started talking about this stuff at work (my weight-loss journey has been on & off for about 4 years at the same job), everyone ALWAYS has an opinion or an off-handed comment.

Just don't talk about anything food/weight related. Keep it to yourself.

And if you have a social media you're sharing this stuff on, make sure they're not following you (or block them from your content, or create a separate account if it's Instagram, etc.) - that could be the culprit for their "explosion." I had a coworker following my fitness account & it caused an unnecessary amount of drama.

I absolutely have. I managed medical secretaries and holy crap they could talk for hours. I just never got involved.

Better yet, don't add co-workers to social media unless it's a career-oriented account (real estate, for example). All my co-workers know that's my policy, and if a new one tries to add me I just reject it and let them know in person that it's nothing against them; I just keep my social media circle to personal friends and family.

@shaf238 It's the worst isn't it. There's only 5 of us in a small office so I get to hear it all whether i want to or not, wish we could use earphones lol
