Dropped my food scales on the floor yesterday, now it's not quite reading right, I think I might have to have a trip to buy a new set this evening.

11/24: 67.6 - Went for a run yesterday, was expecting it to be a short one as I was shattered, and then ended up running 5.5k (aka, longest I've run so far). It was tough to begin with, but after the first km I settled into it and kept taking the longer options. Even at the end I felt like I could've gone longer in my lungs, but it was my legs that were starting to feel it, so I kicked ahead and sprinted for the last 250m or so, just to tire me out. Food wise. It was good! Even without the run it would've been okay, but with it it was very good. And first mince pie of the season! Yum!
11/25: No weigh in
11/26: No weigh in
11/27: 68.3
11/28: 67.7 - Aaaaand back down again. Not a wonderful day's eating yesterday, I've started to feel a little groggy again, so I'm not sure that's helping. Yet another day eating over calories, and I'm sure that today is going to be going in very much the same direction (thanks to the work bake off that's happening today). Ugh, I'm feeling like my eating plan is starting to get a little away from me, winter tends to do this for me. I'm going to have to knuckle down and remind myself as to why I'm doing this, and what my goals are.
11/29: 67.2 - Thanks to the requirement to eat only very little bits of all the cakes I managed to not go too much overboard, my biggest weakness was the ginger and chili cookies. Gosh I love ginger. Probably should've gone out for a run yesterday, but it was raining really quite hard and I could not be bothered to run in the rain so instead I spent the evening desperately trying to get the dog to not run around the house like a looney, and generally lazing about. Somehow calories worked out okay.
11/30: 66.9 - And breathe. Back down under 67. Calories were good yesterday. Normally have a KFC before doggy training, but as it was just me, and I had MaccyDs on Monday, I honestly wasn't feeling it come dinner time. Although, looking at my dinner time calories, it worked only very slightly less than what I would've had if I did KFC, however, at least I know that the calories were what the calories were, and not under the limitations of other people's cooking (and it was super yummy too).

Day/Weight/Comment
11/26 - 95.6kg/210.8lbs: Maintained this weight for about 6 weeks now but I'm now eager to push on and lose some more.
11/27 - 94.5kg/208.4lbs: Cycled 23 miles on the Wattbike last night, wanted to go further but I’m working 16 hours today so took it easy. I will probably see a few lbs come off quite quickly - Would be amazing to lose 8.4lbs before the year ends - would love to say I lost 100lbs in 2018 (1 third of my total starting weight!)
11/28 – 95kg/209.4lbs: Off from work with a cold.
11/29 – 95kg/209.4lbs: Off from work again with a cold.
11/30 – DNW: Rushing around this morning for work, still not feeling 100% so will have to skip my run tonight, hopefully back in the gym tomorrow.

I used so many of the ideas and went in with the frame of mind that you all have suggested because, removing the personal emotion from it, all your advice was clearly good stuff! I also took the advice by a couple of you to talk to Joey about it. He thinks I should keep an open mind about dating in the future and feels that my DH would be okay with it, would even encourage it.
The gentleman clearly made it a point to come near my usual table (his is pretty far) to, at first, be seen, then to talk to me several times over the evening. He was not flirtatious, but clearly friendly in an interested sort of way. Because of all the advice I did not panic, break into tears or run out. Clearly when I felt panic before going, I turned a possible meeting or even a possible friendship into a full blown affair or marriage lol. He seems very nice and just as Rose said, very health conscious with a very thoughtful and healthy diet (he spoke of this with me). Ahhh. something in common, I suppose.
Clearly, my body image has a lot to do with my insecurities which is exactly why I knew that all of you could help. Yes, I am much older (and look it) since my last date 18 years ago. Also, after the breast cancer, uggg. But one of the newest and biggest insecurities right now is the weight loss and the resulting skin. It could be worse, but some of it is bad, (like my arms!) And I haven't even reached my goal yet. This is something I know that some of you are experiencing or have experienced. I am proud of my weight loss and my commitment to a healthier life. However, I still want to look and feel good. Of course, I am hoping that some of it will "snap back" but at 58.5 years old, I don't hold out much hope for some of the areas. Especially the arms. So my insecurities talk for me sometimes.
There was not one comment that did not make Perfect Sense in one way or another. I honestly walked into the pool hall feeling much better about myself and my situation, though I am still a bit of a work in progress outside and inside too, I guess. Thanks for pulling me back down to a much better place. In many ways we are all becoming "new" with our plans and our better lifestyles. I knew you guys could help and that you would. I will continue working on building that confidence that I deserve.
{{{hugs to you all}}}. Donna
So glad you had a good time and everything went well. I found this for you!

11/26 - 257.0 - I didn't do anything out of the ordinary to deserve this but I'll take it. This was my goal weight for November.

11/28 - 255.0 - 1400 calories yesterday. I'm eating more fish and I find that keeps me full longer. Also, snacking on fruit is helping.

11/24 - 146.5 - Well, the past week finally caught up with me. We'll finish up our leftovers today and I'll spend the next 10 days trying to undo the damage. I'm very relieved that I'm comfortable with my weight right now though. I'm also glad I have this challenge to keep me accountable and stop the gain before it gets out of control.
11/25 - 147.5 - Ouch, talk about a delayed reaction! I'm going to have to be pretty careful the next few weeks to make sure I'm back down before Christmas!
11/26 - 146.5 - Back to work, back to logging food, back to eating better, and back to drinking water!
11/27 - 144.5 - I was really surprised to see this number this morning. I didn't even drink much extra water yesterday. I'll take it!
11/28 - 145 - I changed my profile yesterday to a loss of .5 per week, instead of 1 lb. a week. I now have an extra 140 calories to eat a day. I'll see if these extra calories create a weight gain issue for me.
11/29 - 144.5 - I drank all my water yesterday and ate my extra calories in some cashew trail mix. I was surprised how full I felt all day.
11/30 - 143.5 - Nice surprise this morning! Before I left for work this a.m., my husband set out the canned ingredients for a sausage corn chowder that I used to make a lot in previous winters. He was so excited when he asked if I could start making this again. I'm glad I've got a few extra calories to compensate.

I like giving everyone's post attention, so when I feel as if I am not doing that I stop reading or else I would be done by now. A new week and a new round. I am not worried about the number because I wasn't paying any attention to what I was eating and I wasn't exercising at all so I know once I start back up today, the weight should come off pretty quick and I will start my downward trend again. I am just happy I am snapping back into it at this weight rather then waiting until I gain an extra 10+!! here is to a good round!!
11/27 148.4 late posting today, yesterday was a wash, I was all set to get some exercising in but then one thing lead to another and I didn't. today was better, got a jog in and 90 min of volleyball. I have my mind made up...I'm resetting mentally. I am starting at this weight and looking at it from a perspective of beginning again, that way I don't torture myself on the gain and the amount of days/weeks I may have wasted because of my bad week last week. Cheers to new beginnings and remembering it's only a number.
11/28147.4 I am proud of myself..a couple of weeks ago I would have seen this slow moving after a binge and get super down for the amount of time I put it on vs having to take it off in the first place...but I am at total peace, I know it will come off and there will be weeks it takes longer to melt away and there will be woooosh weeks where it seems to just slip off. I have been showing a loss trend since I started give me 10 days and at this point that's all I can ask for, regardless of it is .4th of a pound (my lowest) or 5.4 (My highest) it is going down and it works! This week I have decided to give up chocolate, I am not usually a person who believes taking some thing away but instead learning portions, moderation and balance throughout the week (which means not having your treat everyday) but I have been triggered and have been craving it a lot more then usual, so will do what I have too until I show some signs of control again
11/29 146.0 I think my body is flushing out everything I ate last week, I am hoping it keeps going and doesn't stop, at least not for another little while. Yesterday I only did about 33 odd minutes of working out, not including walks...I expected this week to be somewhat better but its still been rough. I find myself hating it when I don't get a work out in, I feel lethargic and down...sometimes even bloated without having eaten anything to cause it and when I did workout yesterday I felt so much better.. like having a shower after a long day, it woke me up, reenergized me and made me feel good...I will have to hold on to that thought and remember that feeling. My mother is still really depressed about her sisters passing (which is to be expected) and has gone as far as not wanting to put her Christmas tree up because she doesn't want to celebrate without her sister but I know that her sister would be dissapoined if my mother didn't put the tree up or if the family didn't want to celebrate. Christmas was my aunt's favorite time of the year, so although I know its a sore spot, I think we should be spending this time celebrating her life and not grieving her death..If that makes sense, but we all deal with grief differently and I know enough to allow each their own process without pressure. Having said that though, I am thinking of decorating my mother's house for her nd putting her tree up so she will have a little surprise when she gets home from work today...i honestly think it will help her and ease some pressure, time wise.
11/30 145.8 This is where I expected it to slow down, well at least it's a loss and I am back to where I started two weeks ago. Exercised good, drank 1.3 liters of water and ate within calories...although LNS got to me last night after some light exercising and I gave into some cashews I had. That might also be the reason I didn't loose too much weight this morning, regardless if they were saltless.

11/24—DNW—Just got back home. Very early flight in from Ohio. I haven't weight for three days and I'm sure it's not pretty. It wasn't pie that got me. I was very reasonable with the pie. But I was very UNreasonable with dip. Worth it though. (That's easy for me to say when I haven't weighed in!) 5 pounds of gain wouldn't shock me, because I was eating so differently and that makes me gain water weight quickly.
11/25—219—Well, that's not great, but it was 3 pounds rather than 5. Winning!
11/26—218.6—The slow recovery commences. I didn't really eat great yesterday, but it was an improvement over the previous three days!
11/27—218—This was an early weigh-in, so I'm pleased. I was starting a workout last night and I came down wrong on my right foot. Severe pain that lasted just a short while. Today I seem fine, but now I'm a little spooked.
11/28—218—My right ankle/foot seems to be fine. I wonder what that was? Yesterday I had meetings all day and came home exhausted. Today I woke up with a stuffy head. I don't know whether I was so tired because I'm coming down with something or if it was those darned meetings!
11/29—218.2—I had a GREAT workout last night. I continue to push forward with my goal of completing the pushups challenge and yesterday I finally made some progress. TOM is creeping up on me so I'm retaining water. Boo!
11/30—217—I'm surprised this number went down. I had a salt-fest yesterday, though my calories weren't too bad. I also realized at about 5 o'clock that I had actually not had ANYTHING to drink all day! All day! I did a good job making up for it, but that's nuts!11 -
@deepwoodslady, I'm so glad you went back and that you talked to Joey. I hear you about being a work in progress, though I feel like that's what life is. We're never like a finished painting by a master hanging in the Louvre. We're like a finger painting a two-year old adds to on occasion at the kitchen table!9

My name is Jen. I’ve been sitting at the low 200s for a while now trying everything to get my weight to budge. A great MFP friend suggested this group and so far it’s helping! The weight is still moving at a snails pace but at least it’s moving!

11/24 - Saturday - 178.6 - yesterday proved to be more difficult than thanksgiving and I definitely over ate. Stuck to my habits this morning tho. Friends coming over for dinner so not a normal eating day again but I'm looking forward to it!
11/25 - Sunday - 179.6 - more holiday indulgences in the form of friends and cheese. Making an effort to drink water today. Moms for mac and cheese dinner tonight. Way too much dairy for me but tonight is the end of the line...back to it tomorrow. Reminder to self that scale is just data, I had a wonderful holiday and in enjoying the journey despite a later arrival date.
11/26 - Monday -179.8 - Tummy was a bit upset this morning - no surprise there as my beloved mac and cheese is hard on me. I skipped my smoothie but took my supplements. Frozen entree for lunch and leftovers for dinner - but back to habits and structure and I'm happy about that!
11/27 - Tuesday - 179.6 - Need to really commit to the next few weeks before Christmas again. But maybe not go so extreme - because I tried to be SO on point before thanksgiving that I was like RAAHHH EAT ALLL THE THINGS once it finally came. So a little more balance - I need to stick to my weekday schedule, and do my 80/20 on the weekends so I can enjoy, be happy I'm still trending downward, and not undo all that work again come Christmas. Working on my patience as I get nervous watching the scale hover back to 180 and feeling kinda fluffy. Need to do some more meal planning and get more physical activity in as I just like to eat and burning more calories would help me be able to do that - mapping out a dog walk to do daily.
11/28 - Wednesday - 177.8 - Not what I was expecting but I will go with it! Last night was busy, no food planned or prepped - got KFC for dinner and it fit within calories for the day and I miraculously gave away the cookie that came with the meal haha. Nonetheless I do have a headache this morning so I'm crushing water and doing lunges every time I go to the bathroom - they are so hard! But I remember when I started doing my bathroom aerobics that the squats were hard and now they are easy so I'm excited to improve!!!
11/29 - Thursday - 177.2 - Sweet! Well this week is screaming by. Last nights NSV was eating half of my dinner - knowing I was full and stopping despite having more mashed potatoes to eat. I told myself if I wouldn't finish the veggies, I was not actually hungry and didn't need to finish the potatoes on my plate. Quads are on fire from yesterdays lunges but I managed to get my knee all the way to the floor which I had not been able to do!
11/30 - Friday - 176.8 - Happy to see this number again!!! Feeling great overall - been throwing meals together with whatevers left in the house, stir fry has officially become a weekly staple! Meals planned for the weekend include eggnog french toast with sausage (to use up holiday leftovers), pasta with meat sauce (good for atleast a few meals), chicken cheddar broccoli pasta bake - dang this is all very carby - need to spread these ideas out and fill in with some veggie centric dishes. Weekends are still a work in progress but I'm being more mindful of it this weekend...80/20!!!12 -
Hi everyone ~ so happy to be here! I've been with MFP since February 2018 and have lost about 40 lbs. Early on, I weighed myself daily for a brief period but couldn't handle it!! The emotional up and downs of the scale made me a little cray cray so I stopped for the sake of my family, lol. Then between June and November I lost my mom, my job and my fitness mojo. I regained 13 lbs (including the recent holiday), but have lost 10 of it again so yayyy me. It's been very difficult to motivate myself and remain consistent, but believe I'm finally back on track and strong enough now to handle a daily weigh-in, lololo. Thanks for the opportunity.

11/25
11/26 ~ 236.8 (up 2.6 lbs from DAYS of Holiday yumminess - no regrets!)
11/27 ~ 236.2 - been pushing more than usual to counter balance all the carbs and sugar and feeling a little sore this morning. So even though my inner competitor wants to run 10 laps, today will definitely be a rest day. (UPDATE: was feeling so good did 30 minutes of HIIT in the afternoon)
11/28 ~ 238.0 - WT? Poor sleep maybe? It better be muscle!
11/29 ~ 236.8 – Yesterday was so carb heavy I was afraid to look! But I stayed within calorie count and got in some exercise, so this time it worked like it should, lol. Definitely need to keep it simple the next few days.
11/30 ~ 235.0 – yessss! almost back to my pre-holiday weight of 234.2. I have to say, while still no regrets for the holiday eating, I’ve had to work almost 3x as hard to lose the weight this time. I know I need time and consistency to build up a momentum again, but definitely going to be more mindful of this going forward.
DECEMBER GOAL: Do my best to end the year on a high note.
