JUST GIVE ME 10 DAYS - ROUND 60
Replies

am a 50 year old 5'5" woman. I am trying to get healthier to avoid diabetes and all of the problems that come from being overweight.
I have found this challenge to be both rewarding and frustrating! Looking at my weight daily has been a real eye opener to see all of the fluctuations and how a high carb day will affect me and the loss for 2-3 days after. On the other hand when I look at the big picture and the averages it has been a consistent loss except for two rounds. Round 53 was my 50 birthday celebrations that upped my weight for a few days.
I need to step up my game if I want to meet any of my goals.

11/26 - 177.6 - Didn't get a chance to log in over the weekend, but I did weigh and make a note in my phone. It wasn't the healthiest weekend, but I've certainly had worse as well.
11/27 - 180.2
11/28 - 176.6 - I'm not so sure I believe this, but it was what the scale said this morning.
11/29 - 180.0 - It also said 171.7 - Maybe I need new batteries.
11/30 - 179.8
12/01 - 180.4 - poor choices 2 days in a row. Just laziness on my part.

11/24 - 177.4 - Ate nothing unusual, only 22 calories over, drank plenty of water. Just a normal fluctuation.
11/25 - 178.4 - Over calories by 300 from eating keto seed porridge. Still no unusual foods, except for a pumpernickel dinner roll. Plenty of water and enough sleep.
11/26 - 178 - I need salt and potassium. Last night during my fasting hours, I ate 250 calories worth of salty, spicy peanuts ? Could have saved calories just drinking my electrolytes. I don't know why I have been having an aversion to drinking electrolytes.
11/27 - 178.8 - High carbs yesterday, late dinner, no electrolytes ?
11/28 - 174.8 - Skeptical, weighed 3 times though. I'm pretty sure its because of the electrolytes I finally drank.
11/29 - 177.4 - I knew my weight had to settle but not to this 177 again ? Lol My body's water balance is so finicky.
11/30 - 178.2 - Pretzels. Problem solving eating. Didn't need salt. I was good and drank my electrolytes. Guess it all boils down to stress though. BUT, this IS becoming laughable. My knee compression sleeve came yesterday. Yaay! So I did about 20 semi sumo squats to test it out. My knee said no way, but I say 20 is my limit.
12/1 - 178.8 - Even though I threatened myself, lol, pretzels, ate them. Up all night, working on and problem solving a project. Why do the two hour projects turn into 30 hour projects? 2.5 hours sleep, still need to finish it for a birthday party today. Tomorrow, I may be going to see my littles, so the carbs will not be any better.
12/2 - 177.6 - I'm going to officially name my time in this decade, the Twilight Zone. Lol

11/24 159.8 It’s great way to start a new round with a lower number than the last round! Thor and I walked 4.2 miles today. We’re slowly increasing our distance when my foot doesn’t hurt. On Monday I’ll see a podiatrist. I’m happy to be back for another round with you friendly folks! I pray it will be a great round for everyone here.
11/25 159.4 Nice to see, but, while my weight has gone down, I ate a little pecan pie and drank a little eggnog for the last three days, and my ketone level is down to less than .1. That’s my wake-up call—enough pie! I may have to put the last couple of slices in the freezer to give to my husband over time. He’s still working on the pumpkin pie, and there’s a lot of pumpkin cake left. It will disappear if he takes it to work tomorrow. To my credit, I haven’t even tasted the pumpkin cake. I give thanks every day, but I’m glad that holiday is behind me.
11/26 160.2 Whoops, I should have listened to myself yesterday. Last night, I made the decision that one ounce of pie and half a roll probably wouldn’t hurt me. Wrong! Beginning today, I will, once more, fully embrace the keto guidelines. What was I thinking? It’s cool out, so Thor and I can take a little walk and see if the pad the doctor put on my foot this morning is helpful. I still have time to get back in the 150’s before the end of the round.
11/27 159.8 I followed the rules yesterday and took a 3 mile walk with Thor. The podiatrist I saw yesterday thinks he can get me running without surgery. I hope he’s right. Today, I get to see what the dermatologist finds. My skin isn’t getting younger. I didn’t do a lot of sunbathing in my younger years, so that should help. Still, I’m fair skinned and had time in the sun, and I’m pretty sure a spot on my nose will be a concern. Fortunately, my soul is spotless, thanks to Jesus’ sacrifice on my behalf—that’s the critical issue. Praise God! I must keep everything in perspective.
11/28 159.4 Inching back down. Thor and I walked 4.8 miles this morning, without foot pain. We’re almost at the 5-mile mark, which I’ve determined is my cue to start C25K again. I was thrilled when my sweet daughter called yesterday and talked for two hours about keto/running/strength training. She started the keto WOE after my granddaughter told her I was losing weight with keto. She decided to try it and loves her results—15 lb. loss in 3 weeks and more energy. She cruises, often, with her husband and wants to recover her bikini figure. It will be a miracle if my daughter starts running. 😊 After I learned how to run, I enjoyed it. Maybe my daughter will, too. I had a spot on my nose burned by the dermatologist yesterday—hope that does it for a while.
11/29 158.8 I like being a loser, and I’ll do my best to keep being a loser. That said, I’ll still ditch my walk with Thor to play cards and socialize with my friends today.
11/30 157.6 This surprised me. I was worried, because I didn’t exercise, and I had a good lunch and a good dinner (keto approved, delicious and filling). Because I enjoyed my meals, I felt like I didn’t deserve to see a smaller number on the scale? God has blessed me with a lot of things I don’t deserve (salvation, life, family, etc.), so I should be used to it. Thank you, Lord, for every large and small blessing! Now, I’ll take Thor for a walk and, this evening, Good Lord willing, watch my youngest son coach his football team to another playoff win. Tomorrow’s his birthday, and another win would be a good way to celebrate!
12/1 157.0 Thor and I walked 5.2 miles yesterday—time to start running! I have a podiatrist appointment Monday, and I hope he can get my foot ready for running. My son’s football team didn’t win, but I’m still glad I went to the game. It was a beautiful evening to be outside. I haven’t heard if his twin’s basketball team won their tournament game last night. Win or lose, they both get to celebrate their birthdays today! 😊 It's hard to believe my babies are 37 today. Where did the time go?
12/2 157.6 I have an idea why the scale is up again today, but, it’s time to get ready for church. This is the day the Lord has made, so, let’s rejoice and be glad in it! Make every day count. Every day, I try to be mindful that this could be the day I’m called home or, perhaps, the day the whole church is called out. We live in exciting times!

Day/Weight/Comment:
11/24- 179.4 Binge. I just couldn’t get full regardless of what I ate. I absolutely hate typing in green on this forum. I only like it when it pertains to the gains in the stock market or in finances. I have been doing the dinners and celebrations with friends. Tomorrow is the family Thanksgiving dinner. Monday is when I will dread the scale the most. I don’t lose control everyday or all the time. A vast majority of the time I’m on top of it and only struggle when traveling. So I will not let holidays or these moments define me. I will be back on track with each and every one of you on Monday. In the meantime, I will continue to log, to weigh-in and to post. I know what @abowersgirl would do.....She would increase her exercise and movement for damage control. I will try this but with no livingroom right now due to the renovations, and guests coming back & forth into the office (which is the first room of my house), privacy and uninterrupted time is scarce during the hunting and holiday week here. But I will pace back & forth if I can't do anything else. My healthy mind continues, my healthy body awaits.
11/25 - 179.6 Thanksgiving dinner today. The saga continues.
11/26 - 180.4 I obviously enjoyed my Thanksgiving dinner yesterday. Kept my actual dinner very reasonable in quantity of food, though a bit carby. Caved on the pecan pie. Otherwise, desserts at a minimum. Overall, much less that I used to eat for these feasts. I’m a bit impressed with my first Thanksgiving in my new plan and lifestyle. My week was much worse than my actual feast day. I felt like the Pillsbury doughboy going into it which may have helped me reign it in. I can’t wait to get back at it today. Today is “A new dawn, a new day, a new life for me and I’m feeling good.”
11/27 - 180.4 No change. I know I need more water. Very little water shedding. Only got up once during the night which is amazing but doesn’t help the morning weigh-in. I’m going to work on this today. My victory yesterday is that I went to Subway to buy my son and friend a big fat sub on a big carby bun. I bought nothing for myself and made a keto friendly zucchini boat for my own dinner.
11/28 - 178.6 Yay. Typing in red again. Shed a lot of water last night, so extra water helped tremendously. Tomorrow is the pool hall/pot luck dinner. I am very nervous and have not been there in 3 weeks because of something that happened last time. A juicy tidbit that I will share later tonight when I get a chance to type it out. Anyone’s thoughts on the subject are always appreciated.
11/29 - 176.4 More whooshing from the water bloat. Pool/Potluck tonight. I tried to make good food choices without sacrificing the fun and the concept of trying other recipes. Hopefully the scale will not be too unkind to me tomorrow.
11/30 - 178.1 Scale is up from the potluck. I’m sure it’s mostly water. I will work on the bloat today and will eat within plan. I’ve been doing this long enough now to know that it’s okay. I’ve got this.
12/01 - 178.0 Okay, so now it’s being stubborn but it underestimates my dedication! I stayed on plan yesterday with nearly perfect macros. I had about an 800 calorie deficit and ate just 13 Net Carbs. No exercise and clearly not enough movement in general. A moderate amount of fluids but not enough plain old-fashioned water. Today I will make a conscious effort to increase my water and my steps which have been lacking the past few days. Gloomy here today in northern Michigan. So the sunshine will have to come from within me. Enjoy your Saturday everyone!
12/02 - 178.0 No Change. Worked very hard yesterday moving all the furniture in the house. We ripped up all the old carpets and tackstrips and scraped old glued down padding off the floors with shovels. All the beds have been taken down, I slept on my box spring and mattress on the floor. I will do so until the carpet on Thursday. Everything is a mess. No structure and I have been feeling a little out of control on everything. Another social event today on top of it all. My DGS is turning 1. A birthiday party. However, I have a new mindset today and I am feeling pretty good about many things in my life going forward. I will enjoy myself today but do so with all the wisdom and tools I’ve learned from you. It’s going to be okay.

21st Round for me: Female 65, height – 5’
Here we are again. Looked over all my rounds and realized that I’ve only lost around 3 lb. total. 😖 I’d lost about 4 lb. on MFP before joining this challenge. I feel like I’ve lost around 10 – which I have. I also gained 7. Have to be less complacent about it. New maxim: each round counts.Round 39 (1st for me) – SW 163, loss -.2Round 60 – SW 161.6, Goal this round under 160

Ultimate Goal Weight – 128; Hoping to be under 140 by end of June. This is less than 1 lb. per round but as I realize that may not be possible as I get lower (1 lb per round would put me at 131).
Day/Weight/Comment
11/24 – 161.6
11/25 – 159.8 – Yesterday a fast and pray day so I’m not expecting it to stick – but it might give me a kick in the right direction.
11/26, Monday – 160.6
11/27, Tuesday – 160.6
11/28, Wednesday – 160.4 – Yesterday was second last ESL class and despite having a new student show up who knew no English, that I didn’t know was coming, it went very well (Thank you Lord). Only one more to go and a couple of Christmas concerts for our ladies’ acapella group and I’m through the stressful part of December. Skipped gym on Monday because I had too much prep to do but going today. Then it’s planning & tidying so my crazy week doesn’t derail me.
11/29, Thursday – 160.6 – Good gym day yesterday though kind of late getting there. A late start today – have to fight my way back to an earlier rising time. I’m a natural night hawk but if I let that get out of control everything just goes downhill.
11/30, Friday – 161.2 – Good day yesterday till late evening and then snacking on almonds. Should have just gone to bed. Hoping to make it to the gym this am to use those calories.
12/01, Saturday – 160.6 – Did not make it to the gym yesterday, in fact I was surprised when I read what I’d written. I woke up with a very stiff muscle on one side of my neck (going up behind my ear). I thought it would just go away once I got up and moving around (likely when I wrote the post) but in fact I started feeling worse – stomach off, draggy. So took it easy, took antiviral and prayed. Made it through the stuff I really needed to get done and ate maintenance cal. Today the neck is still stiff and generally feeling off but not as bad as yesterday. I’m assuming it is a flu bug. Have a 2-3+ hr. all group practice for our concert next week – hope we are all on top of it so that it goes quickly. We come from different communities and learn the songs in our own towns (only one director though) and then put it all together at one last practice
12/02, Sunday – 160.8 – Well, we were not all on top of it for practice, but it went fairly well anyway. I’ve always disliked team sports so never played on any teams in school but this choir has taught me so much about teamwork. Just one person who doesn’t know their stuff and it drags the whole practice out – fortunately for me, not my section. Still have some stiffness in the neck but overall feeling better.

About me: 62, 5'7", hit maintenance in March 2018 and, typical yoyo, currently bouncing back up over original goal weight of 130.
Want to get back to 127-128
Creeping back to JGM10D quietly after intentionally sitting out a number of rounds, because I need the accountability.
11/25 - sick and eating all the sugar in sight
11/26 - ditto
11/27 - 133.6 - a new high for me as I creep back over my original goal weight of 130.
11/28 - 132.6 - under maintenance calories yesterday.
11/29 - 130.8 - under maintenance calories by a nice amount yesterday. I am not setting a weight loss goal at this time, just getting back into logging and staying under maintenance.
11/30 - 130.6 - under maintenance calories, got about 7500 steps in spite of intermittent rain (I know, I am a NorCal wuss!)
12/1 - 130.6 - just at maintenance yesterday with 9000 steps. Slept poorly last night so expecting a challenging day... emo and tired often leads to comfort eating in my world.
Glad to be back on this challenge, you folks help me stay aware!
12/2 - 130.6 - well under maintenance calories yesterday, 12000 steps. Really happy to see the same number again, this shows it is real and I just need to keep forging ahead.

11/24 - 146.5 - Well, the past week finally caught up with me. We'll finish up our leftovers today and I'll spend the next 10 days trying to undo the damage. I'm very relieved that I'm comfortable with my weight right now though. I'm also glad I have this challenge to keep me accountable and stop the gain before it gets out of control.
11/25 - 147.5 - Ouch, talk about a delayed reaction! I'm going to have to be pretty careful the next few weeks to make sure I'm back down before Christmas!
11/26 - 146.5 - Back to work, back to logging food, back to eating better, and back to drinking water!
11/27 - 144.5 - I was really surprised to see this number this morning. I didn't even drink much extra water yesterday. I'll take it!
11/28 - 145 - I changed my profile yesterday to a loss of .5 per week, instead of 1 lb. a week. I now have an extra 140 calories to eat a day. I'll see if these extra calories create a weight gain issue for me.
11/29 - 144.5 - I drank all my water yesterday and ate my extra calories in some cashew trail mix. I was surprised how full I felt all day.
11/30 - 143.5 - Nice surprise this morning! Before I left for work this a.m., my husband set out the canned ingredients for a sausage corn chowder that I used to make a lot in previous winters. He was so excited when he asked if I could start making this again. I'm glad I've got a few extra calories to compensate.
12/01 - 143 - Another surprise! I'll bet the sodium shows up tomorrow. I ate at maintenance calories today and enjoyed some winter weather food.
12/02 - 143.5 - Not too bad. We're having a rare 60 degree winter day here so I raked some leaves and burned some extra calories.

Day/Weight/Comment
11/24--219.7 Movie and dinner tonight. Hopefully weather holds up so that I can take dog out for a long walk...dog hates the rain.
11/25--218.9 Weather held up yesterday and was able to take dog out. Didn't see a movie, nothing really interested me, but I did go out for dinner. I had planned what I was going to eat before I went out and it was a great feeling to be satisfied and not overly full after going out for dinner. I've already gone out to the gym for today and later today my husband and I are purging the laundry room/storage area and removing some very old/inefficient cabinets in there. Our plan is to eventual paint and lay flooring over the next couple of weekends. Need to get my water in today.
11/26--218.6 Worked on purging the laundry room/storage area yesterday and there is so much more room already. Sore for the gym yesterday. Didn't get all of my water in yesterday, but definitely more than I usually get on the weekend. Working on water again today.
11/27--218.6 Woke up early and went to the gym before going to work. Went to the nutritionist and went over the results of the food allergy test. Not unexpected, but based on the results she wants me to go on an elimination diet starting with eliminating dairy, wheat, and a couple of other foods that I seem to be sensitive to. It's only going to be for 3 weeks before I can start adding back some foods and testing how these foods affect me . She admitted to me that the first week is going to be horrible. After going food shopping, and getting myself mentally prepared, I plan on starting either Friday or Saturday...it's going to be a struggle.
11/28--218.0 Yoga tonight.
11/29--219.5 I'm sure the increase is from DOMS and from the fact that last night I had cookie from one of my favorite bakeries, knowing that I won't be able to have one for awhile, and while it affected my stomach it was really good. Went and did some food shopping and bought some alternatives to foods that I will have to eliminate for awhile. Plan is to start tomorrow.
11/30--218.9 Started with the elimination diet today. Smoothie I tried this morning needs some help, I will work on perfecting it this weekend when I have more time in the morning. Tried two yogurts, one almond based and one coconut based, didn't like either of them. I did try one made of goat's milk yesterday that I like, but not sure if I can have goat milk or if I'm just supposed to refrain from cow milk products, will have to confirm with the nutritionist. Lunch went ok and dinner will be pretty easy. I was planning on going to the gym tonight, but I have to check how many calories I am eating first because I don't want to be exercising without making sure that I am eating enough calories.
12/01--217.1 Definitely water weight loss because of my temporary reduction in wheat. Definitely a struggle yesterday and I had a mini break down this morning trying to figure out what to eat for breakfast. Already went food shopping and need to go to another grocery store later today to get more foods that I can eat. Going to do some more food planning for next week. Assuming weather holds up I will take dog out for a long walk. Digestion still feeling a little unsettled, but I know this won't be a quick fix.
12/02--216.9 Stomach feeling better this morning. Did some weightlifting at the gym this morning, it was great, no one was in the weight room for most of the time I was there. Made some buckwheat oatmeal this morning, ugh not that great of a taste, will try and play around with some flavors. Eating is definitely getting a little easier. Going to make some gluten/dairy free pizza today, let's see how that turns out. Taking dog to get a Santa photo today...she hates going, but that is the price she has to pay for her room and board.

@SheilaBoneham Perhaps dairy is causing your bounce or the combination of dairy and one of the other things you have added back.

What we need to succeed is a sustainable way of eating, not a DIET we go on and off.
This is NOT A DIET. It’s a LIFESTYLE.
11/23 131.5 Round 59 end weight
••••••
11/24 132.5 Something I ate did not agree with me! According to my Garmin, I didn’t go to sleep until after 3 and was up just after 6. It’s gonna be a looong day! And it seems I did not post this morning!
11/25 132.0 Thank goodness 4 days of cooking and 3 days of eating have ended! Monday I’m starting a fat fast for 3-5 days.
11/26 133.5. What the heck? All I ate yesterday was a large Greek salad with gyro meat and small slices of the 2 keto pies left from Thanksgiving. I was under on calories, hit my protein on the nose and carbs were 1g over due to the 1/4 pita I ate. THIS is why I always say IT TAKES 2 - 3 DAYS for what I eat to show on the scale. SATURDAY the food was rich and we had a liqueur tasting. Well, it is what it is. Starting my fat fast today.
When your weight makes a CRAZY swing - look at what you ate 2 or 3 days before for an explanation.
11/27 133.5 So. . . messed up my fat fast yesterday when I made spinach for myself for dinner AND being human like everyone else here, I was angry with myself so ate the piece of Keto cake I had in the fridge from Saturday. All of the goodies are gone and husband made a lunch date with friends for tomorrow. My fat fast may be a bust but it has me very aware of my eating again and that is good.
11/28 132.0 Gym time yesterday. Drank almost a gallon of water. 1 qt extra because of gym and I know it aids muscle recovery! Going out to lunch and then the gym!
11/29 133.0 “Combo fast” of my own making. Eggs, beef, fat.
11/30 131.0 Arts & Crafts 5th Friday luncheon today. Think I’ll go try my Zumba video since I doubt I’ll be able to get to the gym by 2.
12/1 131.0 I did the Zumba 20 Minute Express workout yesterday. It felt so good but boy, do the backs of my thighs hurt now! Well, it’s all good, isn’t it? Today I’m going to Joann with friends to finger knit for St. Jude Children’s Hospital.
12/2 130.0 Only one of my friends was able to make it yesterday. The husband of another went to the hospital at 2:30AM with a heart issue and my local daughter went to her daughter’s basketball tournament. Amy and I were the only two at Joann making squares. No other customers would even try. We made 40 and used all the yarn the employee had prepared. It was a fun way to contribute! I went for my monthly weigh in at WW this morning. I wish they would acknowledge that different things work for different people.9 -

I'm 37, female, from USA. Going to meet my long distance beau of a few months (though we've been talking for a year this month) in January, so very motivated. We're both out of shape/ overweight and both working on it, so this is more about fitness than weight drops. We're hoping for a Jan. 4-6 weekend, so I can do four rounds!
Going for 1 hr cardio per day and 1400-1500 cals.

Did badly the past few, Thanksgiving leftovers, but stayed active. But I did some meal prep this evening so things should be doing better soon!
Confirmed travel plans with the boyfriend today, so that felt good regardless.
Just wanting to do a check-in. Got my hour of cardio today, but it was really hard. I like this thread and hope everyone's doing well, or just coming back to say hi, and stuff. You know, years ago when I had my most success at lowering my weight, I was on Calorie Count. But over the years they changed how their community features worked, and the support was gone. Only the most popular people really got any feedback, and it left you feeling alone. I actually attribute this to their eventual failure as a site. So I hope to be staying in these ten-day challenges for a sense of being part of a group. There may be days where I don't even log calories, but I'll always come here, I think.

I'm formally announcing that I won't be taking my weight every single day. I feel like the first, fifth, and tenth day are enough for me. Change isn't overnight and watching little fluctuations feels unneccessary. Right now, I don't think my weight has changed any, but I'm wearing jeans that I haven't put on for a couple of weeks, and they are distinctly, noticeably looser.
I am also doing keto. (Low carb diet was recommended to me by a doctor, and I've put it off long enough.) I'm not counting calories for the next two days, just getting through those first-three-days-to-a-week carb cravings the best way I can. Not gonna beat myself up over the meat and cheese calories as long as I can get that glucose burned off. A short term sacrifice for long term results. Then I will resume calorie logging/ restriction. Last time I did keto for a couple of weeks, the appetite reduction was great. I know I'll have no issue restricting calories too, once I'm burning fat instead of carbs.
Hope everyone else is doing well!
Only weighing on days 1, 5, and 10.

Glad today to see a couple of pounds have come off. I only made it through half an hour of cardio today, due to interruptions from roommates and family, but that half hour was the full first section of Jillian Michael's extreme shed and shred. It's a beast of a workout if you're out of shape, and I am. (But not too much longer, I'm sure, if I keep doing it.) After an interruption at the end of the video, I was geared down again, heart rate had dropped, and couldn't talk myself back into doing more, even if it was easier. I think my body was like, YES, NOW WE CAN REST HOORAY! I'm sure everyone here knows what I mean.
Keto is going well. I've been wanting sweets, of course, but curbed it tonight with a good deal of cucumber and olive oil, and some cheese and salami. In spite of not restricting calories- again, just doing whatever it takes to get through the carb cravings the first few days- I'm actually eating less than 2000 calories. I didn't log or weigh to as great a degree as when I'm doing strict calorie counting, but I've done enough of that, that my estimate for today was about 1800. I'll round up and say it was 2000, which is REALLY good when I've done 30 minutes of intense cardio. I made a fathead pizza this morning and didn't feel the need to eat again until dinner. This is good. This is the kinda thing I need. I don't have keto odors yet, though, so gotta keep trying for under 20 carbs. Had around 25 today. Perfectly okay with me.
I feel good! Everyone else, I hope you all feel good, too.
I went today, downtown, to the hotel me and boyfriend will be staying. I wanted to check out the inside, because he'll be getting in at 11, and checkin time is 3. They said they could do an early check-in, but I wanted to double check that we'd be comfortable if they screwed that up, or if there's a wait for housekeeping.
We wanted to go to this park, and it's about a mile from the hotel. I wasn't sure if that was "leisurely" distance for my out of shape butt, especially not knowing if there were hills and stuff, so I went and walked it. It was fine! By January, this walk will be no sweat for me, because it was almost no sweat today. Might still be ideal to hop on a bus or a trolly if they get those running by Jan (they're new here), to save energy for the park itself. I'm actually more concerned for the boyfriend, who has planar faciitis. It makes his feet hurt. (I have sciatica, but I know how to keep it behaving most of the time. I've only had a couple of major flares in the past ten years, everything else is very minor. It certainly contributes to fitness issues in both cases, but we're both doing exercise that has good deals of boxing. Yay solutions!)
So checking the meandering route I took- I checked out some side venues for dinner and stuff- walked about two miles today. I feel okay with this, because my legs were screaming bloody murder this morning from extreme shed and shred, and I don't think I could have done another round anyway. Still got plenty of activity without doing anything murderous.
Keto's still all good. Today, I made some "man dip", sausage, cream cheese, cheddar, peppers, lots of cayenne and paprika and garlic. Hoping to eat it on some cucumber slices. And another fathead pizza at breakfast. I'm letting the dip sit so the spices can blend. Had a little corned beef tonight, but only wanted about half of it (roughly 300 calories). So today's total is about 1700. I might have another tea with cream and that'll be 1800. Still REALLY surprised that eating so much fat actually works. I've never been brave enough before to do it right. Used to eat too much protein and too many complex carbs, too. Which caused me to take a long time to get into ketosis when I've tried to do keto before, and also ruined my efforts, because I'd end up eating just a little too many carbs, and then boom, carb cravings are back. This isn't my forever diet. But it is going to make it much easier to maintain a calorie deficit. I may just stick with it until I'm out of overweight BMI range, then move back to a more moderate fat diet.
Only weighing on days 1, 5, and 10.

Today was an okay day. Didn't do cardio, there was no time, sadly. But I was so sore this morning, that's probably for the best. Muscles need to recuperate to get stronger, yeah?
I ate keto food, too. Still don't have the keto smells, so I'm going to have to continue with not calorie restricting. As long as there's basically no appreciable carbs and lots of fat, I'm gonna eat whatever.
That is all.

I weighed myself after having to get up to pee about five times night before last, and wondering what that was all about. Suspected I had a "woosh", if you will, and sure enough did. I sure the heck haven't lost 2-3 lbs of fat in four days! Hah. So that was some water weight loss from keto, for sure. But today, I am wearing jeans that feel comfortable, and these jeans have never really felt comfortable. Oh, they've fit, but never especially well.
And still, 5 lbs is 5 lbs. That's 5 lbs less my ankles and knees and hips carry around all day, water or not, and that's fantastic.
I am kinda having some digestive issues, but that's just too much cheese and not enough vegetables. Won't get more graphic than that. But a big pile of veggies is on today's menu, even if I have to do 30g net carbs today. Haha.
I hope everyone's doing good. Thanks for the hugs.10 -
Accountability is definitely a struggle for me so hoping this helps!!

CW: 98.7kg
GW: 80kg
11/24: 97.8kg - water weight, not getting too excited
11/25: 98kg - overall calorie intake was spot on, too high in carbs and sodium though 🙁
11/26: 96.9kg - went a little over my set calorie intake today with a high protein consumption
11/27: 96.3kg - feeling really motivated - need to up the water intake though
11/28: 96kg - waiting for the plateau but not today!! 😁
11/29: 95.7kg - had a work lunch and was really happy with my food choices, usually in those situations I can't resist and go all out!
11/30: 95.3kg - ate well but did have a couple of cheeky drinks so assuming the loss is mostly dehydration 😜
12/01: 95.6kg - to be expected, were some celebrations had last night. The real test will be staying on the straight and narrow today 😬
12/02: 96kg - dissapointing but not surprising, went over my calorie intake by 300. Will focus all my efforts on my final day for a positive overall result.

Did better this last round, but Thanksgiving ended me kind of high. Saw 152 and 153 last round but couldn’t stay consistent. Bounced around a lot between those and 155. So my goal this round is to get 152 consistently by the end of this round. No vacations or holidays, so I should be able to focus more the next couple of rounds. I know I still have to live life and half of this journey is learning how to live and enjoy life, but at the same time not over indulging all of the time. So here is to round 60, good luck everybody!

11/24 156.7 better than my 158 yesterday but still higher than I would have liked to see. I knew it was going to be rough this weekend. My son and his girlfriend are leaving today to go back to school. So we are having a fair well lunch at this bbq place in town. Going to try and do well today and hopefully at least get back under 155 by Monday.
11/25 - 158.9 ouch! This 4 day weekend was just about as bad as my vacation a couple weeks ago. Back on track Monday morning. Hopefully I can drink lots of water and do half way decent today. Still tons of leftovers though in the house. So glad tomorrow is Monday and I can get back on schedule. Had an amazing holiday though and that’s what’s important.
11/26 - 157.9 Did better yesterday but, not great. I was hoping to at least see 156 something this morning, but didn't. Brought my salad to work for lunch and will make turkey pot pie for dinner (crust-less for me) and that will be the end of our leftovers. I can tell just the way my ring fits on my finger, my sodium levels are down from this weekend already. Lots of water and will stay on track this week. November has been rough. I have been all over the place. I have seen 152 all the way up to 159. I'm ready for some consistency.
11/27 - 155.5 Did good all day yesterday. Glad most of the Thanksgiving and weekend weight has fallen off. Would love to see 153 again tomorrow or at least by Friday and end November with at least a couple of pounds loss, but we will see.
11/28 - 154.1 Doing good this week. Back down to my pre-Thanksgiving wait. Actually a little lower. Youngest called from school and she was sick. So I had to leave work and stay home with her today. Kept my snacking under control which was hard since I was at home doing nothing. Did have plans for a dinner date with my hubby, but now I don’t know if we will go. We may have to postpone. We will see what the older kids are doing. I may actually finish this round with a loss! Half way through and doing well.
11/29 -155.0 Normal fluctuation. My DH and I did get our date night last night. Ate sensibly, but did have an amazing margarita. On track for today and we will see what I end November with.
11/30 - 153.8 I knew yesterday was high because of that dinner date. Going to do good again today and then have to deal with the weekend. Saturday and Sunday are the hardest days for me. My husband is leaving on a business trip early Monday morning, so it will just be the kids and I till Saturday morning. Going to try and work out everyday that he is gone. No excuses! Have to get him ready to go, do laundry, and normal household weekend stuff, so hopefully I can keep myself out of the kitchen.
12/01 - 152.4 had a deficit in calories yesterday and have kept to my plan all week. I wish this round ended today, lol. Now I have to get through the weekend. I go maintenance on the weekend just to try and not ruin the whole week, but most of the time the weekend is my worst time. Really working to see 149 maybe in round 62.
12/02 - 155.0 I didn’t do bad yesterday. I was within calories, so the only thing I can guess is that is was the type of calories I had. We finished our night off with Taco Bell instead of cooking. It was a burrito that was within my calories, but I guess didn’t work with my sodium. Plus I was not great with water yesterday. Getting my husband all packed up today and ready for his business trip, so should be busy today. Hopefully I can watch my water intake and bring it back down to finish strong tomorrow. Would love to finish this round under 155.

My goals this round- get to 173. Drink lots of water.
11/24 - 179-After one big day of eating, it takes me 3 days to get back in the swing of things. I got my work cut out for me!
11/25 - 174-I almost didn’t weigh yesterday because I knew I was still suffering the repercussions of Thanksgiving. I am back on track.
11/26 -175-I ate 2 slices of unfriendly bread yesterday and had salty dinner. Heading to my uncles we’ll eat dinner out.
11/27 - No Scale
11/28 - 173 - I haven’t had time to exercise because I work so much around the house getting it ready to sell, lots of yard work too. I have been eating good and it’s paying off.
11/29 - 173 - Same, I wish I could lose a pound a day, but that’s not the case; I’ll take it.
11/30 - Didn’t weigh; I made unwise food choices yesterday and feel bloated. I get to go make sausage with my dad today.
12/1 - 175-Dang it! Not the right food and I’m paying for it. I need to mix in some exercise. Tonight we go to dinner/drinks out with friends, hopefully I can contain myself 😳
12/2 - No scale.
Have a wonderful weekend ......😊

11/24 - Saturday - 178.6 - yesterday proved to be more difficult than thanksgiving and I definitely over ate. Stuck to my habits this morning tho. Friends coming over for dinner so not a normal eating day again but I'm looking forward to it!
11/25 - Sunday - 179.6 - more holiday indulgences in the form of friends and cheese. Making an effort to drink water today. Moms for mac and cheese dinner tonight. Way too much dairy for me but tonight is the end of the line...back to it tomorrow. Reminder to self that scale is just data, I had a wonderful holiday and in enjoying the journey despite a later arrival date.
11/26 - Monday -179.8 - Tummy was a bit upset this morning - no surprise there as my beloved mac and cheese is hard on me. I skipped my smoothie but took my supplements. Frozen entree for lunch and leftovers for dinner - but back to habits and structure and I'm happy about that!
11/27 - Tuesday - 179.6 - Need to really commit to the next few weeks before Christmas again. But maybe not go so extreme - because I tried to be SO on point before thanksgiving that I was like RAAHHH EAT ALLL THE THINGS once it finally came. So a little more balance - I need to stick to my weekday schedule, and do my 80/20 on the weekends so I can enjoy, be happy I'm still trending downward, and not undo all that work again come Christmas. Working on my patience as I get nervous watching the scale hover back to 180 and feeling kinda fluffy. Need to do some more meal planning and get more physical activity in as I just like to eat and burning more calories would help me be able to do that - mapping out a dog walk to do daily.
11/28 - Wednesday - 177.8 - Not what I was expecting but I will go with it! Last night was busy, no food planned or prepped - got KFC for dinner and it fit within calories for the day and I miraculously gave away the cookie that came with the meal haha. Nonetheless I do have a headache this morning so I'm crushing water and doing lunges every time I go to the bathroom - they are so hard! But I remember when I started doing my bathroom aerobics that the squats were hard and now they are easy so I'm excited to improve!!!
11/29 - Thursday - 177.2 - Sweet! Well this week is screaming by. Last nights NSV was eating half of my dinner - knowing I was full and stopping despite having more mashed potatoes to eat. I told myself if I wouldn't finish the veggies, I was not actually hungry and didn't need to finish the potatoes on my plate. Quads are on fire from yesterdays lunges but I managed to get my knee all the way to the floor which I had not been able to do!
11/30 - Friday - 176.8 - Happy to see this number again!!! Feeling great overall - been throwing meals together with whatevers left in the house, stir fry has officially become a weekly staple! Meals planned for the weekend include eggnog french toast with sausage (to use up holiday leftovers), pasta with meat sauce (good for atleast a few meals), chicken cheddar broccoli pasta bake - dang this is all very carby - need to spread these ideas out and fill in with some veggie centric dishes. Weekends are still a work in progress but I'm being more mindful of it this weekend...80/20!!!
12/1 - Saturday - 178.0 - ended up caving and getting chinese food last night. Moving on and keeping it reasonable today.
12/2 - Sunday - 177.0 - made a real effort to drink enough water yesterday and ate kind of intuitively. I should have skipped the tuna snack and just had the leftovers I wanted initially and saved myself the calories...good lesson, eat the work snacks at work and dont force it on the weekend, prelogging wouldve helped me see that the calories were about the same for either choice. Had lunch out with mom today but kept it light with pad thai and spring rolls. Green and white chicken chili for dinner and lunches prepped. Need to stay on track this week because the budget does not allow for otherwise.

11/24 164 -- Briefly flashed half a pound down...but then insisted on this number. Good news is that the post Thanksgiving number stuck, despite eating carby left-overs yesterday! I also went for an 8 mile hilly walk to burn a bunch of calories.
11/25 163 -- Stuck to lower carbs yesterday and did 75 minutes of zumba.
11/26 162.5 -- Back to good eating. Used the elliptical and did a late night jog around the house to get up to 12,000 steps!
11/27 -- Oops. Forgot to weigh before getting dressed (which is good because it means I wasn't obsessing) and it was too cold to get undressed and weigh. With clothes on, I was 164...which is fine by me!
11/28 163 -- Bummer. Assuming it's just a normal fluctuation.
11/29 -- 162 Raked leaves, strength training and zumba yesterday. Fasted til dinner. This morning I walked and almost got my 12,000 steps! Today I'm leaving with HS Theater group. My plan is to fast until dinner and then order something reasonable. Possibly will do the same on Friday and Saturday, if it goes well. NSV -- Two other people at the gym complimented me on looking great and weight lost! Also...looked at myself in the mirror before weighing this morning and was happy with how I am starting to look. Stomach is smaller and those love handles are finally a little less droopy!
11/30 -- No scale. Chaperoning HS Theater trip....May involve creative food choices!
12/01 -- No scale. Chaperoning HS Theater trip....May involve creative food choices!
12/02 --159.5 -- EXCITING...but potentially I was just a bit dehydrated. I had fun with the kids on the trip. Decided to try OMAD for 3 days. So I just ate dinner out with the gang, sticking to moderately low carb, but still averaging 1200-1300 calories and 12,000 steps. I also drank a lot of water. We will see how it sticks tomorrow!

Joining a little late. But I feel that we're getting to the 170s this round. Let's go!
Day/Weight/Comment
11/24-No weigh in
11/25- 182.8
11/26- 181.7
11/27- 183.2
11/28 -181.8- This is my new maintenance weight. It's been pretty steady recently. Did really well yesterday. Going to try to do the same today. I packed some hummus today with my carrots but I just realized that one little cup is 160 calories and, as a lot of you know, that's kind of a lot of calories for someone who's in a deficit! So I think I'm just going to save it for dinner because I know I'm going to get hungry otherwise.
11/29- 181.7- I did well last night and was under calories. If I keep my calories down tonight as well then this should go down by tomorrow I think. Let's see what happens. I've been on track lately so I'm feeling good. I really just want to reach the 170s and I think we'll be there soon which is exciting! Just need to stay focused which I plan on doing.
11/30- 181.1
12/01- 179.5- GUYS. I'm officially no longer in the obese BMI category! I haven't been this size since high school! I'm still overweight but this is a big milestone!
12/02- 181.2- I went to a dinner party last night so I did eat a lot but I'm glad that my "I ate a lot last night weight" is this now! I've done pretty well today so far so hopefully that will reflect in tomorrow's weigh in as well!

Day/Weight/Comment
11/24- New start for me. The doctor told me yesterday all I went through to indulge during the holidays. With being on steroids twice, my weight is high having a hard time finding a Christmas dress so no indulging.
11/25- I found a dress, my first big party coming up on Saturday, some of my friends don't even know that I had a brain tumour. Goal this week to get more exercise in.
11/26-Super busy day! My grandson had a very bad cough, took him the doctors office, I never saw it so busy.
11/27- My full day has been spent with my grandson he is only five and he had to take 2 steroids to get his cough to slow down, I will get back on track when he is feeling better.
11/28- Today was the second day we decorated our house with Christmas lights and we need one more day, my steps are back up.
11/29- I just relaxed today manicure, pedicure getting ready for Christmas party!
11/30- I started the week with my grandson being sick today it was his sister, back on track on Sunday.
12/01- Getting ready for Christmas Party!

11/24—DNW—Just got back home. Very early flight in from Ohio. I haven't weight for three days and I'm sure it's not pretty. It wasn't pie that got me. I was very reasonable with the pie. But I was very UNreasonable with dip. Worth it though. (That's easy for me to say when I haven't weighed in!) 5 pounds of gain wouldn't shock me, because I was eating so differently and that makes me gain water weight quickly.
11/25—219—Well, that's not great, but it was 3 pounds rather than 5. Winning!
11/26—218.6—The slow recovery commences. I didn't really eat great yesterday, but it was an improvement over the previous three days!
11/27—218—This was an early weigh-in, so I'm pleased. I was starting a workout last night and I came down wrong on my right foot. Severe pain that lasted just a short while. Today I seem fine, but now I'm a little spooked.
11/28—218—My right ankle/foot seems to be fine. I wonder what that was? Yesterday I had meetings all day and came home exhausted. Today I woke up with a stuffy head. I don't know whether I was so tired because I'm coming down with something or if it was those darned meetings!
11/29—218.2—I had a GREAT workout last night. I continue to push forward with my goal of completing the pushups challenge and yesterday I finally made some progress. TOM is creeping up on me so I'm retaining water. Boo!
11/30—217—I'm surprised this number went down. I had a salt-fest yesterday, though my calories weren't too bad. I also realized at about 5 o'clock that I had actually not had ANYTHING to drink all day! All day! I did a good job making up for it, but that's nuts!
12/1—216.6—Another surprising loss. I had movie theater popcorn last night. I expect a lot of exercise today.
12/2—217—I was right! A ton of exercise yesterday. But TOM is here and I feel awful. Bah, humbug.

Well I pretty much suck!!!!! As usual, did not finish last round, heck I even managed to gain 3 pounds!
My goal for this round is to finish the whole round by weighing and posting every day, good or bad. That’s it, that’s the goal! If I lose that’s great, if I gain, boo, but I WILL post everyday.
11/24 - 189.6
11/25 - 188.8 (-.8)
11/26 - 186.8 (-2.8) this is the easy part, when I lose I post, if I gain even an ounce I get embarrassed and don’t post. Guess I better just keep losing;).
11/27 - 187.8 (-1.8 total) homemade cookies will do it every time but I’m proud I posted even with a gain! Today will be better!
11/28 - 186.8 (-2.8 total) 5 days posted and counting! Sticking with it.
11/29 - 187.0 (-2.6 total) yep, I’m still here! Weighed this morning but didn’t get to post until now. 6 days of posting and sticking with it.
11/30 - 187.2 (-2.4 total) 7 days in a row posting! Yay me!!!!
12/01 - 187.2
12/02 - 188.8 (-.8 total) well it certainly isn’t pretty but my goal for this round was to post everyday, so here it is!
