It’s normal to be hungry after working out, you aren’t doing anything wrong. Unless you aren’t eating after you workout.6

Exersise can increase make you hungrier. I work out in the am before I eat. I have a glass of water before my workout and then I eat around 10am and then 3-4pm. Eating 2 times a day is a natural way I like to eat. It may not work for you, but it allows me to have a bigger brunch and dinner with calories left over for a snack.
Also maybe play with your macros and see if maybe eating more protien, carbs or fat helps satiate. Some people protien helps keep them fuller longer others its carbs still others fat. I'm a little heavy on carbs, protien then fat that seems to work for me.
So play around with meal timing and what you eat and see if that helps.2 -
plan for it! plan your day so you have a snack after your walk. or walk before a meal so you can eat right after.
also, how did you decide on calories to eat? have you gone too low (that is not healthy and can make it impossible to stick to healthy eating) and don't forget to eat back exercise calories.2 -
Yep. I was exactly the same. For me working out, at least when I first started to concentrate on losing weight, was counterproductive. I'd burn off 300 calories in the gym, end up famished and would smash through 600 calories of food.
So, I stopped working out, at least temporarily.
Since I wasn't hitting the gym I also wasn't hitting the food outlets afterwards. This meant I was able to maintain a calorie deficiency far easier and consequently started to make good weight loss progress. This really reinforced with me that working out contributed very little to the weight loss equation. This also let me focus on what really Does matter, getting my eating habits fixed.
I went on like that for many months losing weight consistently. Then I decided I wanted to get fitter so I started cycling. This had an amazing impact on my health and fitness but absolutely ZERO impact on my rate of weight loss. The difference was that because I'd sorted out my calorie intake I was better able to deal with the additional hunger that exercising brings. I was able to deal with naturally being hungrier in a way that allowed me to continue my rate of weight loss AND begin to get fit.7 -
You may not be eating enough to fuel your workouts.
- How much weight do you want to lose and what is your weekly weight loss goal set to?
- What percentage of the calories that you earned from exercise are you eating back?

Have a snack after your workout. MFP is designed for you to eat back your exercise calories, assuming they are calculated accurately.0

I am the opposite. I feel more stabilized in hunger after working out. People are so different!0
