Any industry or organization that makes a strong show of "purifying" or "cleaning" up their image is a sure sign of covering up fraudulent activity.
Freakonomics Chapter 1 covers this is excellent detail.
With models and bodybuilders the goal is attaining the ideal aesthetic ratio - 1.618. Manipulating bodyfat is simply a means of achieving this.5 -
The models on the runway have prepped for that day, their body's are not sustained in that condition full time. YouTube has a handful of VS show prep vlogs and the like so you can see how they alter their routines and intake to prepare for a show, just like bikini/physique competitions or whatever.
One time I got sick from eating a couple (and then some) too many pieces of some frosted fruit bread and after throwing up all my water I sure looked nice and defined in the morning. It's not remotely sustainable though.8 -
Too small for my taste. Give me a + sized model any day! My guess 15-22% on most of then.12

I think it's the implication that we should be judged by our desirability to a particular man or men :flowerforyou: How about just being healthy?
(Sorry if this comes across as snarky. It's not meant to. I'm just sick and stuck at work and whiny about it.)21 -

I don't know, maybe it's kinda tiring to see yet another conversation being rerouted to center on what men prefer our bodies to look like . . .
I didn't "woo" you, but does it really matter if a bunch of women are "too small for your taste"? There's a way to admire who you admire without having to trashtalk the way others look.22 -

I'm not sweating it! Lol... I just like having a little fun. We all have our own things we are attracted to. I am actually highly attracted to strong educated women. If they are healthy looking.. that's just a plus.psychod787 wrote: »Why ya hating on the man who likes + sized models? Lol...🤭

I didn't woo you either, but I have to admit I cringed a bit. It comes across as stating there is something wrong/unacceptable with thinner ladies. But I didn't say anything because you worded it as a personal preference, which everyone is entitled to. I take issue when people make statements that try to universalize women's attractiveness. I got in a FB fight with a guy the other day who responded to a video of a woman working out by saying "No thanks, I like my women to look women." That's like the stupidest thing ever. You are well within your rights to prefer curvier/thicker women. People discussing the BF% of models doesn't necessarily need to be the place to state that preference however.

@psychod787 At your own risk  But in this case, I'm not.3

This and this. It's a "nobody asked" situation. I also didn't woo but I did roll my eyes.11 -

Haha! No sense hiding. It's so interesting to me to see how differently people view comments. One of the main reason I like message boards is the broad spectrum of reactions.
Personally, I didn't think anything of your comment other than simply stating a personal preference.4 -

Yep. I am in my 50's and overweight now but when I was much younger I was 125 lbs at 5'10". Body positivity is great but the whole "real women have curves" thing totally *kitten* up my self esteem.6
