Need some motivation pals

Hello just starting my journey to lose 50lbs. Wanting to get a head start to those cliche new years goals hoping if i start now i can stick to them as the new year starts. If anyone wants to be of motivational help it will be awesome

This hyperlinked thread is from a different challenge I am in ... someone posed the question "How are you going to negotiate staying on track (food AND exercise ..... at least maintain if not actually manage to lose a few pounds) for the holidays?" and here are all the wonderful suggestions. I just started my journey yesterday to begin my weight loss of 96 lb by the end of the year I'm trying to lose eight and a half pounds each month so I can use the motivation and I hopefully I can be a motivation to someone else. I started out with calorie counting1

Honest MFP Goal Setup expectations, and then respecting the MFP-assigned macros is always the place to start. Depending on your personal physical stamina / capabilities / interests, Just Do Something active. If there is a "formal kind of exercise" you already do, keep doing it! (gym for either weights or cardio machines, swimming, something at home or something out in the fresh air - whatever!)
If you haven't been regularly active for some time, one of these two threads could give either of you some "general active lifestyle" ideas. Calories burned are calories burned, no matter what the activity ...

Thanks. Im a caregiver so im on my feet all day 4days out of the week. Its just the rest of my week i want to sleep and eat. Which is why im here. I use to do construction labor for the union and was in good health and getting in better shape but due to an injury i no longer do that type of work and thats when the weight started creeping up. Ill look into those links and try to set a plan i know i can commit to. Thanks0
