Calorie counting

Today I burned nearly 600 calories at the gym doing some running. Do I add this to my daily calorie amount to eat or do I act like these calories aren’t even there? Thank you

The way MFP is setup/designed, you add them to your daily goal. Due to the nature of calorie "counting" and all the estimates that are involved, many people will only add/eat half of what they burn, and use the other half as a buffer for errors, bad estimates, etc.6

Totally agree and that is what I do. 1/2 calories burned I can put/eat back. If it is a small amount I still try to stay in my original calorie range.
But, it's great when I have a craving outside my daily calorie goal, I can go walk off the calories before I eat it. And a walk makes me rethink the need for some foods.1
