For those eating 1200 calories

How do you stay energized at the gym? I like to go on the elliptical and burn a minimum of 600 calories (45 minutes to an hour). I used to breeze through it like it’s no problem but lately I just have no energy, and I have to force myself to finish my workouts. I do the C4 pre-workout powder (with the creatinine) which I think helps but only for so long... first 20 minutes is great and then I got a wall. I try stay well hydrated before/during the workout but if I drink too much during I feel really sick to my stomach. I’ve tried eating more soon after mealtimes so I’ll have less of a risk of low blood sugar/dizziness (which I was getting doing in late evening). But it’s still not enough. I feel really pathetic

Are you eating back exercise calories?

I am on 1320 per day and need to eat back a portion of exercise calories. Having even less would be rough.

Fuelling properly would keep you energised.

Getting help for your eating disorder would also help, as you well know.

I have a huge breakfast daily. Three eggs, half cup egg whites, a banana, a red bell pepper, coffee with milk and usually snack on raspberries. That’s a lot of protein/carbs/fats right there. The rest of the day is pretty slim pickings food-wise but I’m trying to workout closer to breakfast for that reason

Having one big meal makes no difference if you are not fueling adequately over time.

Especially when that meal isn't at all calorically dense.

True... I’d be curious if eating more, especially more carbs, would help my energy/mood

Ask your dietitian when you see her.

    You. Need. Professional. Help.

The only reason anyone can't get through a workout is because of being under fuelled. Unnecessary use of supplements aren't going to replace good fueling in proper food. You seriously wouldn't expect your car to drive a hundred miles with only enough fuel for 20 miles. The one little thing that will help with your workout would be having a banana 10 minutes before which would give you approx 35g carbs which is enough for 30 minutes energy. Also getting specialist help would go a long way

Trying to fix your energy levels with supplements and over hydrating is not the answer and this can potentially be dangerous in your situation.

I was hoping the last thread was the 'light switch' and you were getting the needed help. Maybe this one will be, if you won't call your therapist or dietician there are online resources at your disposal as well, just get help.

thats NOT a lot of protein, carbs or fats. thats lower amounts of carbs, the fat is pretty low(unless you use oil to cook your eggs in) and the protein isnt all that high. the 3 eggs alone has 18g of protein if large eggs, the protein in milk is something like 8g for an 8 oz glass.so maybe a gram to two from the milk if lucky. raspberries are low carb. you seriously need to seek help. you are doing your body NO favors and the rate you are going you are likely to end up in the ER and being admitted to the hospital since its possible at some point you may collapse or faint at the rate you are going. you are asking for trouble that you may not be able to come back from. SEEK HELP NOW.

I’m not sure why you’re continuing to post here if you’re not going to listen to anyone’s advice. I’m sorry if that sounded harsh, but it’s plain as plain you need help, the kind of help that no one here is equipped to give you. Please take care of yourself.

I have read through a lot of your posts recently. Please get help immediately for your thought processes and eating disorder. Many people have already mentioned you are not eating enough...which I would also state.

Read through the post that aokoye wrote and get some much needed help ASAP.
