Avocados, peas and any fruit with skin are all good sources of fiber

My mom has IBS and takes http://www.heatherstummycare.com/wholesale/fiberlaminate.pdf

    Lots of IBS info https://www.helpforibs.com

Mom finds it helpful to eat soluble fiber first in a meal (so salad last) https://www.helpforibs.com/diet/fiber1.asp

Are you able to eat beans? Most of my fiber comes from oats, high fiber bread, and beans.

I thought I had posted this, but yes, beans are the absolute best source, but depending on the type of IBS may be an issue. My sister has IBS (took fiber as a supplement until she was able to identify her trigger foods which largely made the issue go away), but found the trigger foods included avocado (which is otherwise a great source of fiber, and her other triggers were some raw veg). A great fruit source of fiber is raspberries. She seems to be okay with beans but doesn't eat them a whole bunch.

I eat a ton of veg (usually 12+ servings) and did a lower carb diet (but with veg) for a while and was surprised at how it wasn't always that high fiber, depended on the veg (I don't count corn or peas or potatoes as veg, but as starches). Adding back in beans made a huge difference, and so did some fruits. Whole grains would as well, probably, but I just don't eat that many grains (I go through phases where I eat a lot of oats at breakfast but am now in an egg phase).

What helped with my IBS symptoms was not just getting enough fiber, but also getting enough water, enough dietary fats (people trying to cut calories often shortcut this!), and getting exercise . . . especially exercise that moved my midsection. Beyond that, probiotic foods seem to help some people (yogurt, miso, kefir, kombucha, raw sauerkraut or kim chi, etc.).
