weight loss isn't a think to do quickly if you want it to be healthy and sustainable.7

Why the time limit?
Remember: misery does not burn calories. And making yourself miserable by doing sort term weigh loss methods, won't actually make you lose weigh any faster. It'll just make you more likely to binge, and end up back where you started while feeling bad about yourself for "failing". Many of us have been there and done that.
What really works is to put your stats into MFP, eat the number of calories it tells you to eat and trust that this is a marathon not a sprint. Remember how long it took for you to put on this weight, you'll probably need at least that long to lose it, normally more. Otherwise you run the risk of having health problems from losing weight too quickly.11 -
May I recommend the following program?

I'm afraid it won't be fast, but if you follow it to a t, I can guarantee success in the long term.9 -
You don't want 30 lbs to come off too quickly because you may be left with some sagging skin. If you lose 2 lbs a week that's still a substantial amount and will only take 15 weeks to reach your goal- you'll be happy with your results way before then too!
I try to have a huge amount of vegetables in my meals because I need ton of food to feel full and if you cook them without sauces, you can keep your calorie intake pretty low. You can add spices so they don't taste so bland; they usually don't add calories to your dish.
I snack on flavored rice cakes (they're way better than plain), almonds, and cottage cheese.
I'm not sure if we're allowed to suggest websites but reddit.com/r/1200isplenty has been a great resource for me
Good luck! It's hard to stay committed but it is so worth it in the end!5 -

If 30 lbs is the total you need to lose to get to a healthy weight or lower, you should not be expecting to lose 30 lbs much faster than 30 weeks. I'm not saying it can't be done, but weight loss isn't linear, and for every week you lose 2 lbs there will probably be another where you don't lose any, plus it will slow down substantially at the end.
Fast weight loss is a recipe for lose skin, muscle loss, and yo-yo dieting. Set your goal to lose 1 lb per week, get in some strength training, and you'll look and feel better long before you see that 30 lb loss on the scale.8 -
Did you gain 30 pounds fast? No. Then you won't lose it fast. If you do, you will lose muscle mass, you will probably not get the nutrients you need, you will probably feel tired all the time and you could start losing your hair (due to loss of nutrients). There is also a very, very good chance you will gain it all back when you "finish" losing weight. Do it the right way first and you won't have to do it again (and you'll save your hair and skin

To add to the comments above, educating yourself about why eating too little is a bad idea as you want to lose weight and keep it off and do it healthy. Why put yourself through dieting strategies eating low calories?
I'll throw this link in here for some insights that might be helpful for you or others that may read this thread.
