My name is Sara and I am a 38 yr old L&D Nurse who is back at it again! 3 yrs ago I met my goal of losing over 90 lbs. No, I didn’t get a gym membership, I didn’t tell people I was “dieting” (I hate that word btw). I completely changed my mind and food lifestyle and was able to maintain for about 21/2 yrs. I started working night shift and my pant size slowly started to creep up. With an hour drive home to keep me awake, I would stop by any Speedway or BP to grab some junk and keep me awake. What started as high protein beef jerky and a water turned into a pack of donuts and a Gatorade. I started back on day shift as a Director and my perverbial plate became more full! EVERY Friday a wonderful Dr. brings the BEST assortment of donuts and I would find myself looking forward to “fat Friday”, as I call it. I was becoming more stressed, tired and felt terrible from all the sugar drops which in turn would require more consumption of carbs. I’ve gained back about 30lbs from the 90 I lost, I feel terrible often and lost all of my drive. Yes...I know this is the new year and yes...I know it seems I’m jumping on a bandwagon. But whatever the reason...I’m making it happen. My friends at work and I are working to hold each other accountable. We created our own little program called “Go 90”. If you want details...message me. I’m not an expert, I just know when I did this in the past it was wonderful and NOT temporary. I NEVER spent tons of money on food, I’m not a cook at all so you don’t need to worry about that. Tracking daily is the key! Thank you MyFitnessPal!
