Is it right that you should eat fast realise sugar if your going to have it after a lifting workout. I've just added a crunchie to my post workout fuel. Had a high protein and carb shake but it was slow realise carb, oats. I would of rather of had dark chocolate but have none

Oooops. I remember something saying to me in past I should. Crunchie was tasty but not worth the fat. Would rather have nut butter tbf0

If you are doing long duration cardio that might significantly deplete your glycogen stores AND you are training again in the next few minutes then yes simple sugars would be a good choice.
But for what you describe that's completely unnecessary.1 -
