Hey everyone!
I'm currently registered for the NYC Half Marathon in March and I will be running the NYC Marathon in November (I deferred my entry to last year's due to injury.)
Anyone else registered for anything fun?

Lincoln (GB) 10K in April. Am going to sign up for a Richmond Park 10K at the end of Feb to see what kind of time I'm putting in. I'm not much of a runner, but I keep going. If I get a good time in April (around 60m), I might even start looking at half marathons to train for.0

Indoor insanity 5k (Gorham, ME) this Sunday
St. Patty's 10k & Pub Crawl (Salisbury, MA) 3/16
Mary's Walk/run (Saco, ME) 3/24
Great Stirling Run 1/2 marathon (Stirling, Scotland UK) 4/28

I'm doing a marathon in New Orleans in February and I've signed up for a 10k in March. I need to figure out the rest of my 2019 races, but I'm planning on doing at least two more marathons this year (one in Minneapolis, one in Memphis) and probably a half marathon in July.1

I'm eye balling a couple (Xterra Syracuse and a local trail 5/10k), but nothing that requires registration this far in advance. The big question is whether or not I can/will force myself to swim this winter... otherwise most of the races I'm most interested in are pretty much out of the question.0

Tri sprint in Aug1

My best fitness year ever involved me finishing a Spartan Trifecta (Sprint, Super and Beast), and each of the major race distances (5k / 10k, Half and Full) in 2015.
I have never come close to that feat since then.
I've decided to at least do the major race distances again this year.
@lorrpb - Is your Tri in open water? I have never done an open water competitive swim.0 -
Leeds Half Marathon in May, Yorkshire Marathon in October, and i usually do the Abbey Dash, which is a 10k in November.1

Paid for
10K Feb 10 (might be an icy one)
half Feb 23
Planned but not paid for, deadline for most is in March
May 12 10 mile (no idea why this one is in mile, it's in Canada)
May 25 half (moved from mid-June)
June 9 Half
June 23 half
Oct 20 full - my first full.
I really don't like races in July/Aug as it gets far too hot here and by 9 am can be 25C or more. I'll run but I like to be done before 9.

I'm running Myrtle Beach SC marathon on March 2. If recovery from that goes well, I'll probably do a half in April, or a 15k but I haven't signed up for it yet since I have a hard time recovering from marathons.0

Disney Princess at the end of February, and Pittsburgh half at the beginning of May. I need to get off my butt and register for Crawlin Crab by the end of this week before the price goes up.1

Yes, it’s in the Columbia River in WA. Last summer I did one in a lake. Open water takes some getting used to, then it’s fun!0 -
I have some cycling events I'm thinking about, but nothing really gets going until late May. No USAC events this year...those guys are too hard core and I just want to have fun.0

Got my 1st 5k in a LONG time coming up Feb. 9th. It's a Cupid's Chase 5k and I'm really excited about it.1
-
My fun always starts with my first race in March, I do these each year.
1/2 marathon March 9
1/2 marathon April 6
8k in June
10k September
10 miler November0 -
I'm registered for Brighton (UK) marathon in April, so will probably also sign up for a half sometime in Feb for pacing practice as I do 95% of my running on my own.0

Paid for:
Austin 1/2 Marathon Feb. 17th
Chupacabra 200 (100K road+100K gravel) August 25th
Planned but not registered:
Austin Capital 10K April 7th
Tour de Gap (100K cycling) end of July0 -
I'm considering a metric century this summer. Has anyone done either a metric or a full century? Most I've ever done in one sitting (heh... sitting! A dad joke about cycling!) is 30 miles.0
-
A 6k trail race (actually just 3k straight up a freaking hill and then back down I guess) in Feb and a 5k at Universal Studios later in the year. Right as I was planning stuff I got sick, will wait till I am 100% before I see what else I am slotting in and when.0
-
Registered for a few halfs in spring and Atlantic City Full Marathon in October but will be throwing my hat into the lottery again for NY. I have run it twice so far and really would like to end my marathon career with a third time.1
-
Cybi Coastal Marathon on 3rd August, Holyhead, North Wales. Hell of a route, but very scenic. Can't wait.0

Shamrock Run 15K in March and a 4th of July 10K in July. Those are paid for. There's always a 10K on the OR coast that I do with my sister. Other than that, events are starting to price me out1
-
That seems like a leap to me...
And yes, part of completely longer distance events is not only being able to pedal that far, but also to be in the saddle that long.0 -

Oh duh, I'm also signed up for a 30 mile ride in June.0
