Pizza 🍕

So my mom is ordering my dad pizza to and we are going to surprise him at work on his lunch. It’s going to be papa johns ( I can’t resist it’s my favorite)
Option 1: eat 2 pieces
Option 2: eat 1 piece and have a vegetable
Option 3: bring my own lunch
🤦🏻‍♀️

Does two pieces for within your calorie target? If so, enjoy.

I just added it to see its 670 for 2 slices. It might be more doable tomorrow than I thought. I will have to really watch what I eat for breakfast and supper tomorrow.

Yep, basically you have to figure out how your brain works and what the chances are that you personally will balance your day out. For me, I used to tell myself "I'll bring some veggies and then have one slice". And then I'd eat 2 slices anyway and eat more for breakfast than I should and get mad at myself  So I got to a point where I would plan for the 2 slices, prelog everything to make sure it fit, and if it would be tight, I'd take an extra walk that day!

One thing I do to reduce the calories of pizza is to eat the toppings without the crust. If it fits for you, maybe one whole slice and one slice of just toppings. Harder to log, but you still get all the delicious.

I am a bulk eater soo... I would take a "snack" to have before. High protein that is. Then have a slice. If it's good pizza. If not.. I'll skip.

@kshama2001 my mom used to make an almost identical calzone for special occasions.
Now I'm craving them! lol. With the marinara it's a decadent experience

Great, now I want pizza! 😂

I just text my husband to bring some home. He will dutifully obey.

(really didn't have to twist his arm though)

Call me crazy but I made a trip to sams club last weekend and had their pizza. it was soooo good. Like the greasy gooey kind of pizza. I liked it better than papa johns :D I don't have a very refined palate

    I don't either and I consider it a blessing.

I would eat 2 slices. This can be done guilt free by eating light for your other meals, going hard in the gym so you burn extra calories at your next workout, or eat light the next day (under your calorie goal) to balance out and still meet your weekly goal.

My favorite pizza at Papa John's is actually their grilled chicken & veggie on thin crust at 210 calories a slice. But I assume you are sharing, and I know many turn up their noses at anything that isn't chock full of sausage or pepperoni ;)
