Net points?

Hi All,
On the 'My Home' page at the top, it gives 'net points' each day. Is that the number of points of deficit after all my food and exercise is calculated? If so, does anyone know how it calculates it?
Thanks!

The deficit is calculated in the background....The net calories is your TDEE (based on your gender, weight, height, age and activity level) minus your target deficit (I believe the max here is 1000 calories/day). The "net" is your daily calorie intake allotment. That's what you track in your diary.
If you are entering in your exercise, MFP will add those calories to your net, since the calorie deficit is already calculated. Whether or not you should eat your exercise calories is a hot hot topic here. Honestly, if you have a LOT of weight to lose, it's not that big of a deal. But when you are down to those last 30ish pounds, you should stay as close to your deficit number as possible, so eating back those exercise calories is important.
I hope that answered your question....0 -
