Are you eating back your exercise calories?1

No just my diet plan calories I'm conflicted about eating those as in my head the exercise is an extra0
-
who established your diet plan? what is the plan?
pasta after the gym may not work for everyone. a pasta portion is pretty small on most meal plans unless you work out a ton. maybe in the future opting for a more filling meal with protein and fat?1 -
Well there was chicken with the pasta but it was more I was eating my designated calories.0

if you mean you put in your info in MFP, the system is meant to give you calories required to lose weight WITHOUT exercise calories. you are meant to eat them or at least a portion of them (many start with 50% as often calculators are on the high end). Assuming exercise is beyond what you put in as fitness level (and an actual workout usually is)

To expand on what was said above, unlike other sites which use TDEE calculators, MFP uses the NEAT method (Non-Exercise Activity Thermogenesis), and as such this system is designed for exercise calories to be eaten back. However, many consider the burns given by MFP to be inflated and only eat a percentage, such as 50%, back. Others, however, are able to lose weight while eating 100% of their exercise calories.

Distractions are good. Take another long drink of water and start a project noncompatible with eating. Crocheting or other needlework is good.

I usually play the Xbox to distract myself but I'm to tired to game after working out0

then you should eat back your exercise calories. you're hungry because you're under eating.0 -
Ok I'll give that a go thanks 😊😊1

All as above, but will add... maybe adding some non starchy veggies to the meal. Low cal, high fiber, can be filling.0

Also, there is absolutely NOTHING wrong with having a maintenance day if you're too hungry to stick to your goal. Just eat and try to do better the next day. May I ask what MFP set your calorie goal to?2
