Break the cycle

I have been on mfp for a bit but seem to lose and the gain the same pounds over & over. Ready to break the cycle. I don't have much to lose but every time I start to see results for some reason I give in. Usually because I am feeling so burn out. I'm sure I have never fueled my body correctly. I am changing my mindset to fuel my workouts. I have upping my calories/macro but how long do I need to give before adjusting. I'm doing a program that suggest I eat up to 1600 cal but I am not there yet. I am eating close to 1400. Any advise is much appreciated! My main goal is to lose some bodyfat so maybe some muscle can start to show up.
