Did you ever make judgemental errors about your own personality?

For years I assumed I was introverted, but I was wrong. I believe that I am extroverted to some degree, but sensitive. Did you ever think you were something other than who you actually are?

Nope. I know myself. My strengths and my weaknesses. So do those around me.

I used to think that I was really smart but turns out I was just hanging around dumb people and I may actually be kinda stupid.

I thought I had issues with narcissism and was condeeded, but I found out I am too good for that and I am just a truly excellent specimen of a person. Was nice to shake that dark cloud really and I was down on myself pretty hard about being like everyone else.

Not since my youth, but I suppose that’s the point of youth, to learn who we are.

ETA - actually, that’s not true, I believed I was socially awkward for a long time but I’m not, I just have no interest in small talk and superficial friendships.

Um, what about, like, MFP friendships and small talk?

No. I'm an *kitten* and I know it. Everyone else can confirm I'm right.

I have known who and what I am since I was old enough to pee standing up and not put the seat down after.

I used to think I was not a people person but now I know that I can be... I just don't care to talk to people who have too many tickets on themselves

When other people make judgements on my personality ("you're shy", "you're nice", etc) I always think "I can kinda see your point", but I can also be the opposite of all my personality traits, and it makes me want to be

When I was in 12 I had some friends over my house for a sleepover. We were all hanging out in the kitchen and while I was making them toast I grabbed a butterknife and, holding it like a microphone, started laughing diabolically with my eyes opened really wide. Well, they didn't appreciate that. One of the kids said he wanted to go home lol. I thought I was just being silly ol' me but that's when I realized I was little crazy.
