Question about Calorie Goals

Confused about calorie goals. So my calorie goal according to mfp is 2090. Does that mean I need to eat 2090 calories a day or do less than that to lose weight?

You need to eat 2090 PLUS some of your exercise calories, if you do any exercise.5

If you have set your Goal to lose weight, then yes eat 2090. If you exercise, add that into the Exercise tab and eat a bit more.
Your deficit is already calculated (at the 2090)

Assuming the number is correct, this is your max for the day to sustain whatever weight loss goal you chose to go for.
However, you don't have to eat all of it.
If you're satiated, you have energy and feel happy and healthy, stop eating.
Don't ever starve yourself, but don't eat more than you need just to hit the calorie goal which may not even be correct.
I did intermittent fasting while losing weight and being vegan, there were days that I couldn't get more than 1400 kcals in and I am 5.11.
No adverse effects, no issues with nutrients, everything was good.
