If you are new to posting on this thread, or if you are new to cycling, We welcome you! If you are returning from a previous thread, We welcome you, too.

This thread is for anyone who rides a bicycle ... or unicycle, tricycle, tandem, etc.

Do you bike to work? Do you pull your children to the park? So you ride weekends? Do you spin at home or in the gym? Is Zwift your thing? Do you race crits, ironman, or centuries? Or, are you just starting out and remembering how much fun you had biking when you were a kid? However you choose to push your pedal, you are welcome on this thread.

There's no set challenge across participants - this is a mixed-ability / mixed-experience / everyone welcome group. Just pick your own target that you want to achieve this month, post that when you join the thread, and post updates throughout the month as you're working towards your target.

    Hi Everyone...I’ve been gone for awhile (slacking on recording stuff here). I’ve been riding a ton though. It’s winter here in Montana but trying to get out on my fat bike whenever possible. My husband even had a custom paint job done to it for Christmas. I’m also riding a bunch on my new trainer with Zwift. Rode 12 miles today.

    I'm a Zwiftie... I started my weight loss journey last year, lost 70 pounds, and rode 4,314 miles on Zwift and in real life. Currently I am in snowy Colorado.. waiting (not very patiently) for the snow to go away so that I can pull the mountain bike and road bike out. Would love to meet more people on Zwift! It has been my key to losing the weight.... I have 40 pounds to go this year!

    Nice paint job!!! I am too much of a wimp to ride in the winter... it was -14 degrees here today! No thank you.. I'll stick to Zwift!

    I’m in Montana and it was super cold here yesterday too. I don’t mind riding when it’s 15-20 but much below that and I stay in. I’m not much of a road biker. I just do it to fill in the time I can’t mountain bike.

    How do you find people on Zwift? I’m a total newbie!

    If you know your friend's name, you can sure through the companion app on your phone. You would select the ...MORE link in the bottom right hand corner, and then find Zwifters. Also, if you are just riding, you can add people around you. I've made "friends" that way.. when we do long rides together.

    Goal: More than December! In December I did 285.2 km (177.2 miles) = 37 hours 49 minutes. If I could get up to one of my previous Januaries, that would be great, but I did a lot in past Januaries!

    Hello coming back to try to be more accountable to ride. Last year was a ruff year health wise and didn't get much riding. Setting my goal this year at 1500 miles. Winter here in Indiana so will be hit and miss starting months.

    Highpoint was PR for an indoor 40km - doesn't compare to an outdoors 40km of course but it's about a 10% improvement over last winter.

    Not once outside this month :'( But I did get a lot of miles in for me. 89.8 miles, average of 2.4x per week based on 5 weeks. My goal is 3x a week but sometimes it's hard to keep that schedule up.

    Been very restricted by a bad back and weather too cold to ride outside.
    65 miles this week, 390 miles for the month. Will be glad to say goodbye to January.
