Hey Monday, All Time Low, and Cobra Starship, April 2009, front row. Fall Out Boy were the headliners, but my best friend and I bought tickets just to see the opening bands, haha! We did stay for the first few FOB songs though...Pete Wentz is very cute in person! lol

Skunk Anansie - 1996 (gig post-poned from the night before because someone managed to blow all the amps so they really worked hard to make up for it)

Various Indie bands in 1994/1995 - Bluetones, Longpigs, Echobelly

David Bowie, Counting Crows and Rolf Harris (yes, he rocks!) @ Glastonbury in 1999

The Dresden Dolls/The Ditty Bops. Oct. 2004. NYC.

You saw the Dresden Dolls? Lucky cow.

For me i'd have to say Goldfinger are the best band live. They're just ALL about the crowd they're playing to. Amazing bunch of guys.

    Hmm...

Radiohead at the "tent tour" in London. Outstanding.

Funeral for a Friend a few years ago in Southampton, Portsmouth and Taste of Chaos tour in Brighton.

Reel Big Fish in various places, seen them about a billion times, got more amazing each time I went.

I've seen many others, but none match up to those.

Would like to see Rammstein at some point, hopefully they'll be coming to Germany some time soon.

Rammstein for the energy and special effects (intense!)

Great to see another RH fan \m/
  • It's a tie between David Guetta and Basement Jaxx. I've seen bigger people, but those two always stand out because they were so into the crowd. Felt like I was attending a DJ set by an old friend.

I used to have a HUGE crush on Barry Manilow. A few years ago I got to meet him in person at a book signing and then my son and I went to his concert In Seattle. It was fantastic! The man can put on a great concert!

11/21/03 Forum Theatre, Metuchen New Jersey, Neal Morse, Testimony. I think I sat with my mouth open the entire time. Everything from hard rock to gospel was played. The combination of artists on the stage was phenomenal! The individual artists were fantastic on their own, but combined it was just eargasmic! I have to admit I wasn't paying much attention to the lyrics, the musical artistry had me spellbound. The show opened with Neal playing acoustic guitar slowly walking through the theatre using a headset mic. I heard the music over the sound system, but didn't see him until he was standing right beside me. The theatre was completely quiet while they played...you didn't even hear a cough.

I have seen some great concerts, but that one topped the cake for sheer artistry.

DEVO on "The Pier" in Manhattan in the late '70s.
I was very suprised. They totally rocked the place.
It was a small open air venue and everything was great.

I have to cheat and say the Mile High Music Fest in 2008. I saw Flogging Molly, State Radio, Flobots, Michael Franti, Tom Petty, Citizen Cope, Josh Ritter, Rodrigo e Gabriella, DMB, John Mayer (he sucks but put on an amazing show), Steve Winwood, OAR, and I can't even remember who else. It was a great 2 days.

Best stadium show was Pink Floyd's Division Bell tour.

Best Red Rocks show was Dispatch this year. Frigging fantastic.

saw Flogging Molly at the Black Sheep in Colorado Springs and the next night at Fillmore Auditorium in Denver...LOVED them!!! (and The Riverboat Gamblers who opened the show)

Since 1984 I've been to probably 100's of concerts and many stand out...but one of the ones that was the most memorable:

Monsters of Rock July 30 1988, 21st row at Mile High Stadium in Denver, CO:

    Kingdom Come
    Dokken
    Van Halen
    Scorpions
    Metallica

and whichever year it was that Def Leppard performed at McNichols Arena in Denver (1987?) and recorded the video for "Pour Some Sugar On Me"--my friend still swears she can see us in the video, but I think we were too far away lol

    wow, tough one.

erm, Radiohead in Paris in 1997 was something i'll never forget. outstanding, i think i saw them at exactly the right time, so often with bands you dont get that. for example i saw the Black Crowes last month, and whilst they were still amazing, i knew i was late to the party (not my fault!)

i think my absolute favourite gig though would be Metallica in 1996. they were still great in 2009 but i was pregnant and sat down rather than 16 and at the front. LOL

biggest :( about a band i'll never get to see is Little Feat. i mean i will go see them next time hopefully, but Lowell George died before i was born, i didnt stand a chance!

I saw them at the Fillmore too, in 2010 I think. Rev Peyton and His Big Damn Band opened.

I have waaay too many to list. Rod Stewart is always great and so is Hanson. As for local bands, look up Hot Bodies In Motion and Handful of Lovin' (both from Seattle) - awesome performers!
