It doesn't seem like MFP has any plans to do this at this time.0

If you live in the US or Canada, you can show fiber and subtract it from carbs. It couldn't be simpler.
If you are in most other countries, labels are probably already net carbs, so you wouldn't want to deduct fiber.1 -
I was researhing this as well.... This hack/jailbreak worked for me.... https://perfectketo.com/myfitnesspal-net-carbs/0

Go into your diary and switch tracking sugars to tracking fiber. After you log, you can easily see your total carbs and your fiber. Subtract fiber from carbs and you have net carbs. easy peasy.4

People have been asking MFP for this for a few years now and apparently it’s never going to happen. You would think with the popularity of the Keto diet that they would want more people using their app but 🤷🏻♂️. I mean how hard would it be for them to add a setting and formula so that the fiber would automatically be subtracted from the carbs. It’s really annoying that they won’t do it.3

"Automatically" for who? For everyone? MFP is an international site. Most countries have food labels that are already net carb. This "automatic" setting would screw their numbers up.
It's not an easy fix. There is no country of origin on database entries. Wipe the slate clean and start over? That wouldn't be a pain at all. But at least the 5% (of Americans) using keto would be happy.4 -

^^ QFT
When I run keto, I just choose foods that are low or no carb, the small offsets from fiber don't matter materially.1 -

This.
Also, I did keto in the US using carb with fiber in it. I WANTED to see how much fiber I was eating, as that was important to me. I did the extremely simple math of subtracting the fiber from my carbs in my head without really thinking about it, and do not understand why some people think this is a hardship.
It's also easy to create net carb entries (please keep them private) and I keep seeing people tell OPs who are in the UK to subtract fiber which is likely to screw them up, as their entries are already net carbs except if they choose some USDA ones.
As for sugar alcohols, I don't think I consume them very often and I'd ignore them -- it's a bit of a cushion in your carb count and you probably don't want to consume so much that they make a significant difference (for digestive reasons if nothing else).2 -
just google myfitnesspal net carbs. There is a browser addon, that you install and then there is a script. It adds net carbs to your macros. This is on PC. Not sure if it will work on a smartphone0

My point was actually that you SHOULD count sugar alcohols rather than try to get extra carbs by subtracting them, so I'm interested in your point and I think it's consistent. IMO, someone doing keto probably should not be consuming so many sugar alcohols that it even matters.2 -

And if someone in the UK or Australia uses it, or someone careless about the entries they choose, they will get bad results. Much better to check entries and also to know how much fiber you eat. I really don't get why people think simple 1st grade math you can do in your head is so problematic.3
