1.Where you from? Ufff. Every time I hear this question i wonder what to say. I was born and lived and worked in 5 different countries. I spent about 15 years in the US in 3 different states: East, West, Midwest. Never lived more than 6-7 years at one place.
2. What’s your job? Scientist. Nuclear stuff.
3. Married, single? Another ufff. Married for 25 years, but my husband is the same as me - crazy scientist constantly moving. We often live in different cities, sometimes in different countries... We rarely see each other, but love each other, talk every day - now it's easy. But with all this life he is more a really good friend to me, than a husband. Anyway, it's so complicated...
4. Children? They are grown up. They were always with me, not my husband, and it was not easy to raise kids in our situation.
5. Fun fact? I think i had everything: lived on food stamps and clothes from charities for a while and sometimes had literally nothing to eat, once even passed out in a store being too hungry and smelling all the food around. Always pushed myself and then life got better. And then much better. Now, I make more than I need, know too much science, have too many citizenships, and speak too many languages2 -

2. What’s your job? Retired a year ago from operating an in-home daycare for 39 yrs.
3. Married, single? Married for 42 yrs., but we lived apart for 12 of them.
4. Children? 3, son, 39 and 2 dds, 29 and 27, lost a ds when he was 9 months old
5. Fun fact? I found my mom's brother through genealogy sites. They were separated when they were 18 months and 4 years old. Reunited in their late 70's.
I wish I could've fostered children but in Vt. you can't while you run a daycare. I think it's an incredibly selfless thing to do. I cared for 2 little girls who were fostered, then adopted; I was able to see from the outside, what their journey was. Not easy but soooo rewarding and filled with love.
Haha, didn't realize this thread was a year+ old when I replied.0
