Hey , Well like it says Ive fallen and can't get up !!!!! About 4 years ago my husband and I were doing really good at counting our calories and faithfully running/jogging. Completed many 5ks, 10k, and even some half marathons and felt AMAZING. Then one 5k I hurt my leg and couldn't run for 6 months. That really put a set back in our activity and our food intake. We started to just eat CRAP and more CRAP !!!! And now the 35lbs I worked so hard to lose is all back :( we have been trying to get back to the swing of things but it seems so much harder than before. We go to the gym for a few weeks then stop for a month !!!! so frustrating not keeping up the commitment !!!!
Never really write on these things but just wanted to vent, so if you've read this thanks for listening :)

Welcome back! Getting back to the great habits you had 4 years ago may be too big a leap right now. In my experience, at least, I have to work on habits from where I am now. So think about making one fairly easy improvement, and keep doing that until you are really solid at it (likely a few weeks). Then, once you are reliable at that, start working on a new small health-related habit.

And if losing the 35 pounds is the priority, focus on food first.

Best of luck with those big goals!

Here is the link to the February, 2019 UAC group https://community.myfitnesspal.com/en/group/130876-ultimate-accountability-challenge-february-2019

It is a great place to develop self-awareness / accountably habits and support the shift towards a new sustainable lifestyle. Works no matter what your food plan, exercise strategy, or where you are on your journey (everyone from just starting to nearing goal weight to maintaining for years now)

We have a raft of brand new members also starting this month, a crew that are only on their second month with us, and more than enough olde-timers who can guide you through your transition period.

    Hope to see you there.

This is the same exact situation for me, except the husband and half marathon part. It's so frustrating!
