Just a Persian guy

Hi. I’ve been trying to get fit forever now. I have picked up running, can run a half marathon in 2 hours now but am still some 10 pounds overweight and 20 away from my goal weight. Giving this a try!

Hi, Bashir! How can you be 10 pounds overweight, and yet 20 pounds from your goal? lol Oh, wait, I think you mean the 10 is technically overweight, but the 20 is like "extra fit" ? Sounds like you are working hard if you can do a half marathon in only 2 hours. WOW. Keep up the good work!

I think you'll find MFP to be convenient and a great way to keep us all honest. I used to use Calorie King, but I like MFP better because it "remembers" everything I've ever entered into the food and exercise areas. Awesome!

Yep. The 20 pounds is to get the coveted 6 pack that seems to be running away from me!
MFP is pretty convenient but it’s not great in estimating calories burnt via running. I did a 10 mile run last week and MFP estimated it to have burnt something like 500 calories only.

Something sounds off here. I'll burn around 1200 calories with a 10 km run.

I think MFP counts runs as walks.
