How do you deal with the fear that creeps in when you put a few pounds back on? I’ve gained 5 after being steady for a few years and honestly I’m struggling to not try and starve myself to get it off.

Set your deficit to .5 pound/week loss and hit the target calories every day.2

Yup, I gained a few and really panicked. Someone on here recommended Judith S. Beck's book called the Beck Diet Solution and it helped me get back on track. I reduced my calories by a couple hundred and it's slowly coming back off. I'm back in my goal range. Don't restrict too much or you will really go into a binge and restrict cycle. It's a balancing act really and we have to accept that there will be times when it creeps up and we have to slowly cut back.2
