That's a pretty darned good list, IMO. I love Examine.
I guess "Calories are not all that matters for weight loss" is not a nutrition myth, but a weight loss one.
And I won't start (again) on HIIT, or "muscle confusion", because those are clearly fitness.6 -

Well, I have a sign that says all veggie shop sign boards are unreliable. Now how do we resolve justification of truth claims?7 -

If I could hatch socialist birds for the picket line I would actually consider breeding.5 -

Well, they would say that, wouldn't they?High five to everyone who gets that one.Unless the vegetable shop is situated on the farm itself, and has a high sales turnover, the vegetables have been lying around for a while.
Between being harvested and being purchased by the consumer, fresh vegetables have been picked, packed, sent to a depot, and then shipped to a store, unpacked on to shelving, and then sat waiting to be bought.
It all takes time, and all the time they're deteriorating.
Meanwhile, frozen vegetables were picked, frozen within an hour of picking, and have stayed frozen during the packing and transport that was needed to get them to your store.8 -

I think eating cages with your eggs would result in even worse stress hormones.5 -

But likely an excellent source of dietary iron.5 -
You guys, I learned something today. Fresh vs Frozen... I had to go look it up but yeah, that's awesome. I use frozen for smoothies all the time but fresh veggies always just taste better to me. Still, good to know though3

2 or 3 years ago I spoke to a grocer who told me that canned veggies(the ones packed only in water with no additives) in a lot of cases are even better than "fresh". In most cases the vegetables are canned the same day they are picked, whereas the "fresh" veggies in a lot of cases are weeks old. I should clarify and say I am not saying the canned stuff is better, but maybe more fresh(because they are sealed in an air tight container) and definitely not worse.1 -

I would tend to take frozen over canned, simply because veggies packed in water (and often salt) tend to get mushy. But definitely an alternative, especially in winter when most 'fresh' vegetables in the store are grown half a world away and are fresh in name only.3 -

Oh, absolutely, I completely agree. Canned green beans get mushy and are not appetizing at all to me, but freshly picked I think they are delicious. I prefer frozen over canned any day.1
