Hello fitness friends,

I know it's probably bad to weigh myself everyday but the scale barely moves, maybe 6oz to 1lb. I'm so frustrated, I'm logging my food intake. I workout 5-6 days a week. I just want to lose 5-7lbs. Any tips out there?

in what time frame has the scale not moved?

there is nothing wrong with weighing every day, as long as the lack of movement doesn't bother you... with 5-7lbs to lose you should only be aiming to lose 0.5lb per week anyway and water weight can be quick to mask that

Same issue for me... So I went to my doctor and she prescribed phentermine... 20 days later I'm down 13 pounds and a lot of inches!!!!

    13lbs in 20 days is a LOT

    Congrats but be careful <3

Do you have any other fitness goals other than just the scale? At 5-6 days a week you're probably losing fat and increasing muscle!

Since I started weight training, I still look at the scale, I'm only human... but my body fat %, inches lost and performance improvements are what really does it for me these days.

    Good luck!

With less than 10 lbs to lose, you should be expecting to lose @ 0.5lbs per week, which can really easily hide behind water weight fluctuations on the scale day to day and week to week. Looking for a change on the scale every day and living & dying by the results is basically just torturing yourself. It's more likely you will see your weight wander up and down a lb or two for weeks and then one day realize you've been down 2 lbs for a couple of days and it seems to have stuck.

Check out these posts, they may help, and you are going to have to be more patient or you'll drive yourself nuts
