So are you looking for exercises that you can do with a broken foot?
Any exercise is good for losing weight. They all burn calories.1 -
Thanku0

Hi, the best way to start with to lose fat is cardio training. The faster you are the more it burns. Then you can add lifting weights to build muscles. The more muscles you grow the more your metabolism will keep on burning even after your workout.
Avoid fast food of course and added sugar for best results. Eat healthy.
Now with a broken foot I believe cardio has to wait till you fully recover. You can start with the upper body weight lifting. Good luck and be well10 -
I swim. It is one of the best exercises you can do. It burns up a LOT of calories, exercises all of the large muscle groups, and puts less pressure on my bad knee. I was even able to swim with a sprained ankle (just not the flutter kick)0

You will lose fat from a calorie deficit. As long as you are eating at your goal, you should lose weight, even without exercise You are going to be limited in what you can do with a broken foot. Maybe wait until it recovers before really undertaking an exercise routine.1

I eat both fast food and sugar and lose weight. Weight loss is about calories in vs calories out. You can have both of those things as long as they fit within your calorie goal. For overall health, it's not good to eat those things in excess, but for weight loss, it is all about the calories.

It's also about adopting a healthy way to eat, not just losing weight. Like it's everywhere, no dietetician will tell anyone it's ok to eat fastfood to be healthy.
Now it's up to everyone to choose his/her way to get fit. Good for you to be able to achieve both2 -
Oh. Are we back to the idea that one either eats ONLY nutrient-dense home-cooked meals OR ONLY fast food and candy?
A healthy way to eat takes context and dosage into consideration. And not all fast food has the same nutritional profile. Some of it isn't too much different from stuff you'd cook at home.4
