They don't work. So good or bad for what, exactly?10

Legal ones dont work. Not sure the debate.9

They don't work--not good or bad. If they worked there'd be no more fat people.9

Useless. That's just not how the body works.
Most "fat burners" include caffeine or some herbal stimulant that makes you feel either warmer or more energetic so you think it's doing something, but it's not.
The only real fat burner is a calorie deficit, either from eating less or exercising more. Don't waste your money.
I know you really want a short cut but if the short cuts worked, every one on the street would look like a celebrity.11 -

....Kind of a sideways joke there....I don't use fat burner supplements for reasons already stated.
Good to see you still at it7 -
Good at relieving you of that pesky excess money in your wallet. Bad at just about everything else.8

The only "fat burners" that truly work involve injecting substances that are illegal in many countries. If you can buy it at GNC or CVS, it's nothing more than caffeine and green tea extract and junk like that. Save your money.8 -
If they work, they are illegal...if the are legal, they don't work.5

Good for those who make them,
Bad for your finances.
Objectively irrelevant for their stated purpose.4 -
The prescription fat burners with appetite curbers... Those work for sure!
The ones off the shelf typically do not help much if at all2 -
Snake oil.1

Pros:
They make money for the schiesters selling them.
Cons:
They don't work.
You're paying for something that doesn't work.
You might as well set your cash on fire.
On balance, I say don't take them.1 -
Back in the day when I had no clue as to what I was doing, I tried shelf bought “fat burners” and they did help to surpress my appetite, because the main ingredients are usually caffeine and caffeine does suppress my appetite, I could’ve just drank espresso and save some $$$$
