Has anyone ever used Casein protein? I'm thinking it is a great early day protein source. Slow-absorbing. Higher protein then Whey. I have a hard time getting protein in. Any thoughts?

The protein in your diet looks fine. You don't want to consume much more than 20g at a time (per meal) or it is generally not absorbed. You aren't doing an excess of muscle building, so you are getting plenty without a supplement.

    defnitely use it at night
not sure about during the day, your body has a lot to digest already.
Bodybuilders use it during the night to stabalize blood sugars and feed muscles while sleeping but during the day you have the ability to eat to do that. unless you are going long periods with no food I would stick to whey, especially if you have hard protein intake issues, it absorbs faster and feeds your system.

Yes, bodybuilders use it at night to keep a "positive nitrogen balance" and stay anabolic. Don't think it does a much through the day, unless that's the only protein you're taking in.

If I eat the way I want I get about 50 grams a day. I'm told that is not enough with working out circuit training and cardio...?

Your diary shows you at more than double what your recommended level is. People over do protein all the time because there is a lot of misinformation about how much you actually need. I would ask a doctor to evaluate it if you think there is a problem. If you are taking in enough sugars and fats, then the protein will go to muscle building. You would have to be doing A LOT of muscle building to need that much more protein.

    Hi,

Great work so far, Casien is best just before bed to keep your muscles fed through the night, if you want to add lean muscle mass you need to have a gram of protein for every pound of body weight, I think what you are doing is ok if you want to increase at any time have a protein bar or shake as a snack.

    Keep up the good work.

Thank you so much. I wanted someone to tell me I didn't need to get way over the recommended amount. I feel fine with the right amount and am toning up.

    You guys are great!!!!

This is incorrect. You can take in all your protein at once - it will just take a longer time to absorb.
