I've been finding the last couple of weeks if I have a protein and fat packed salad for lunch I am snacking a lot less during the day and finding it easier to stick to my calorie goal, my salads are around 800-1100 calories so I didn't see much point in posting this in the general diet section as I know most people there are aiming for low calorie diets, whereas for weight loss I am grossing around 1800-2300 calories per day.

Anyway I'm looking for some new ideas for things to put in them, lately I've done:
  • Chicken marinated in peanut butter/thai spices with noodles, veg and spinach
  • Chilli Mayo Tuna, Mozzarella and Pasta salad
  • Garlic Chicken, Blue Cheese & Walnut Salad

I like most or will try most foods, so if anyone has any ideas, I am all ears!

Only stipulation is it would need to hold well in the jar, so nothing to sloppy.

I don't usually go for higher calorie salads or put mine in mason jars, but a few ingredient ideas that come to mind are: ham, goat cheese, dried fruit, nuts, and chicken salad.

Mmm, I'm liking the thought of a taco salad with tortilla chips
