America -- Horse With No Name

    Easy one coming up.....

    "You walked into the party
Like you were walking on a yacht
Your hat strategically dipped below one eye
    Your scarf, it was apricot"

Rocky Mountain Way - Joe Walsh

“You check out guitar George he knows all the chords
Mind it's strictly rhythm he doesn't want to make it cry or sing
They said an old guitar is all he can afford
When he gets up under the lights to play his thing”

    Dire Straits-Sultans of Swing

    'Cause they're waiting for me
    Looking for me
    Every single night
    (They're) driving me insane
    Those men inside my brain

"Some balls are held for charity
    And some for fancy dress
But when they're held for pleasure,
They're the balls that I like best."

Well it was nearly summer, we sat on your roof. Yeah, we smoked cigarettes and we stared at the moon. And I showed you stars you never could see. No, it couldn't been that easy to forget about me. Baby, time meant nothin', anything seemed real. Yeah, you could kiss like fire and you made me feel.

    -love this song

"Teenage had a race for the night time
Spent my cash on every high I could find
Wasted time in every school in L.A.

"I love myself, I want you to love me
When I feel down, I want you above me
I search myself, I want you to find me
I forget myself, I want you to remind me"

"I thought she noticed me when I saw her
She seemed to check me out right away
    So I Asked her name
    I played the old game
Her reception seemed to be ok"

    We'll send him to school
It'll teach him how to fight

Horse with No Name - America, I think.

    Sweet Lucy was a dancer
But none of us would chance her
    Because she was a samurai
    She made electric shadows
    Beyond our fingertips
And none of us could reach that high

Knockin at Your Back Door - Deep Purple

"We're nothing, and nothing will help us
Maybe we're lying, then you better not stay
But we could be safer, just for one day"

"I love to see you walk
    Up and down the floor
    When you talking to me
    That baby talk
    I like it like that"

1977 release. UK Male artist. Deceased.

US group had a hit with their cover in 1998 so I've heard it twice now.

David Bowie. Had to look it up. Can't believe I didn't know that. Saw him in 1975 when I was in the Marines.

To be fair, Heroes was released after you saw him. And I'm very very envious, I would have loved to have seen him in concert.

I had just got back from Okinawa and met a girl that was a Bowie fan (she even had a dog named Ziffy). She bought two tickets to see him in L.A. I didn't want to go, because all I knew him from was his Ziggy Stardust stuff. Anyways, to keep the peace, I went. He came out in a white linen suit. Looked normal and it turned out to be a great concert. Had a great time.
