There are no foods that speed up weight loss. You should avoid foods with high carbs on a low carb diet and that's pretty much it. You don't need to go on a low carb diet to lose weight though.14

Just a minor question:
Is there a medical indication for you to go "Low Carb"?6 -

I would suggest maybe have a HBa1c blood test you could be type 2 diabetic from what you say, I'm on a low carb diet for just that reason and in the process lost weight it's all to do with sugar / glucose and water retention.4 -

Are you sure that's not just a short term water weight change?
(Carbs are stored with x4 the weight of water.)
Why speedy weight loss? Is appropriate for you?
My food tip for weight loss would be foods you enjoy making up an overall healthy diet and in a sustainable calorie deficit for an extended period of time.8 -
Not sure there is a best low carb food. I like veggies in a number ways. Salads. Roasted in a good fat. They do a lot of my fill work. Then add in chicken thighs because unlike breast they have taste on their own. And then some red meat once in a while. Home made Thai dishes are my favorite. So I can control sugar. If you like low carb then do not let others question and do not listen to the nay sayers. Those of us who do it understand the benefits. It works great. Good luck.12

Then you already know how to eat low carb so I don't understand your OP.
Are you looking to lose more than 1-2 pounds per week? How many pounds do you need to lose to reach your ultimate goal weight?9 -
Low carb: meat, fish, eggs, cheese, some vegetables
High carb: sugar, flour, most fruit, grains, some vegetables (ie. corn, potatoes, etc.)
I have lost weight doing low carb because I stopped eating desserts and my meals were drastically changed and the calories were much lower. It was not a sustainable way of eating for me, so the weight came back once I stopped eating that way. If you want to keep your weight off, you need to find a way of eating that works for you long term.4 -

When I started keto, I avoided refined and highly processed foods. I also really restricted or avoided starchy root vegetables and sugary fruits. I tended to eat fruit "vegetables" like peppers, squash, and cucumbers, and green leafy vege. I tended to limit temperate fruits and enjoyed berries. I ate a lot of meats, dairy, seafood, nuts, coconut, eggs, and olives too.
My favourite snacks are pepperoni, nuts, leftovers, cheese, cand coffee with cream and protein powder.
For me, eating very low carb speed up my weight loss. I aimed for about 1.5 lbs a week but list 2-3 lbs a week instead. I am not trying to lose now that I am at a fine size, but I am still losing 1/2-1 lb a week. For me, avoiding carbs was a huge help, and still is. Ymmv8 -
I am not a ‘carb’ person - I can pass up
Bread, pasta, sweets, etc. My only preference is potatoes which even then, I can have just time to time. I prefer salty, crunchy, meaty dishes & 1 piece of chocolate will do just fine for me if needed. So why am I overweight? Because I was not eating regularly, choosing fried or quick foods over good sources of proteins and rich veggies. And I wasn’t paying attention to portion sizes. So I started eating whole healthy foods I enjoy (which is nearly naturally low carb) and I FEEL better. And I’m losing weight at a pace that works for me. People who say this isn’t sustainable are speaking for themselves. Not everyone loves high carb, high sugar foods. I for one ate them by default not knowing anything about food and how it affects my body. I Food is meant to be enjoyed FOR YOU. If low carb works and you will not miss the carbs terribly, then go for it. Whole, healthy foods - lean proteins, healthy fats, be choosy about the foods with carbs, veggies, some fruits. Some people do low carb and do not track. I have to track b/c I’m still learning about food and the carb content, etc. So tracking helps me. It also shows me my deficits and where I can improve that day, so I can make better choices.
Good luck1 -

REAL weight loss comes from a calorie deficit. So I guess you are naturally eating fewer calories when eating lower carb. That, or you are counting the temporary water weight loss you lose when starting a low carb diet. The water weight loss is your body using up glycogen stores.
