Talk me out of it!

Friends- I just want to sit on my couch and binge watch March Madness with pizza and apps and some fun adult drinks. Remind me how far we’ve come and how I DON’T need these things haha. It doesn’t help I am a teacher and this is night 1 of my spring break!
Go Bucks! We won’t win tonight, but won’t stop me from rooting!
But bonus points for low calorie “drinks”

Can't you have Alexa send you a reminder?8

Have air popped popcorn instead (and add some butter but not too much). I would avoid the alcohol personally, all my resolve goes out the window when I drink.1

We are going to sit on the couch and enjoy a typical dinner while we watch our game tonight. I hope your team wins, unless they're playing us (Go Hokies!)2

I mean, why not? No sense in depriving yourself if it's what you really want, especially since you've come a long way and I'm sure you know enjoying yourself every once in a while wont ruin your progress.
Er, I mean dont do it.
Hard seltzer, club soda w/ gin or vodka and lemon juice or diet coke and rum are my go to.7 -
The cost of a few extra calories may end up being a little extra time at the end of your journey. The cost of depriving yourself and resenting it could be much much higher.
When I schedule days where I eat above maintenance I know I am reversing my progress a little but I believe that when I get to the end I will only care that I was successful not that it took a little longer.
So to talk you out of it... Please don't be kind to yourself and allow yourself to have some fun occasionally.11 -
Think about your weigh ins every Friday. Set backs are not worth it.16

I was listening to an interview with Yoni Freedhoff where someone asked him about occasional indulgences (birthday cake, etc). He said that we should ask ourselves 1. Is it worth it? (Sometimes it is) 2. What is the smallest amount I can eat and be satisfied? (He explained that this question will help you determine the quantity before the indulgence.)
I look at weight loss as a journey. I plan for cookies etc. I still meet up with friends for margaritas and Mexican food. I still enjoy an occasional girls night with wine and cheese. I don’t feel these hinder my weight loss even when going over calories. They keep me sane. They help me plan for how I will fit these things in after I reach maintenance. If that means the weight comes off more slowly, so be it.
In your same shoes, if it’s something I really enjoy, I’d probably make a plate or two filled with my favorite appetizers and set it on a buffet table. I’d fill the rest of the table with fruit, veggies, and other low calorie choices. The spiked sparkling waters are only 100 calories. I’d have one of those or a glass of wine.7 -
Get up and do jumping jacks or high knees during the breaks or better yet get a rebounder and run on it while you watch7

Could you challenge yourself to find new ways to relax and celebrate your time off? What about hanging out at the beach or pool?-1

The high temp today was 54 and all the snow hasn't melted yet. But if you live where you can hang out at the beach or the pool today, I am glad for you2 -

Cheering for my team—UC Irvine!!! First tournament win ever! Woot woot!3

I binged off last week but ate less this week. When I weighed in I thought I would plateau. Instead I lost a pound. Maybe your binge isn’t as bad as you think.0
