Any one else here finding it hard to mentally deal with the fluctuations? I know they happen due to many factors BUT to be 50days in and only 3lbs down I’m close to breaking point I weigh daily and use Fitbit app to log daily weigh ins but it’s getting to the point of frustration now

I think we would all prefer for the loss to be linear but as you know, fluctuations are the name of the game. Do you use a weight trending app or just the MFP site to log your weigh-ins? The trending app will show you a smoother line.
Looks like you’re losing about .4/week on average? Is that about what you expect (are you set to lose about .5/week)? If your goal is to lose more then you may need to check your logging accuracy, on both the calories in and calories out sides.4 -
I fluctuate up to 5lbs up and down most days, but log my weight daily in Libra, the weight trending app. Since I started doing that I really stopped worrying about the ups and downs.
However I have to second @emilysusana on your logging accuracy if you're expecting to lose more (if you're wanting to lose more than 20 pounds) and aren't.

Don't get frustrated! Get motivated, set a new goal. Set a goal that is attainable. Preferably a goal that is not weight related. I have been at this for 7 months the scale says I've only lost 14lbs but I have had to buy new pants and I can work out with the best of them at the gym so I'm focusing on non scale victories and it's way more fun!
If you can take the stairs all the way up to your desk at work...who cares what the scale says!
If you can skip dessert and have fun with your friends and feel satisfied...who cares what the scale says!
If you can do 3 sets of 15 squats with a 20lb bar on your shoulders...who cares what the scale says!
If you can go to the beach and swim in the water and enjoy the day...who cares what the scale says!
If you can play a team sport with friends and have fun win or lose...who cares what the scale says!
If you get out of bed and log into MFP with the intention to be mindful today...who cares what the scale says!
When you stay motivated just for today, focus on today, just today, tomorrow will take care of itself. All those todays add up. You don't need the scale to tell you that you're present in the moment and living a better you.

I use fit bit app to log my daily weigh ins and take the average for the week. Im eating 1900 cals a day with a lot to loose at 280lbs and should be looking to loose 2lbs a week.. I’m really getting p***** off with it all!0 -

I don't like fluctuations either - despite knowing logically that it's just a data point and the trend is what's important, my brain still doesn't like them. Because of this, I weigh once a "month" and just trust the process of calorie counting. Month is in quotes because it's technically once a moon, I weigh about 7-8 days after my period cycle has started, which is generally when I have the least amount of bloating.0
