    I subscribe to a few sites - allrecipes.com and America's Test Kitchen - that send me recipes a few times per week. My mom also sends me recipes from cooking.nytimes.com.

    If I see one I like I check my "Joy of Cooking" to see if they have a version - I prefer the way the JOC formats recipes. I learned to cook with the JOC so most everyone else's formatting of listing all the ingredients first and then the directions hurts my brain.

    If I could only have one cookbook, it would be the JOC.
