I had a pretty set idea on a few already, but recent events just made me think of something I may do before the others

That's cool! I have one, I might post it up. In memory of a close friend who was murdered a month before we graduated. I don't have any ideas of any others as of yet though. Something for my fam I want.

My tattoos.... they are all pretty old except for the skulls. The one on my chest was chosen from a walk when I was 17, the star on my arm was a band name when I was a drummer, the feather is for my daughter that I lost, and the skulls will be a sleeve that I just started.

    Sorry for your loss dude!

Curiosity struck me, what happened on that walk that inspired that tat?

Ha! Sorry man, I meant WALL. I chose some flash piece from a WALL of a shop for my first tattoo.

    What's the meaning/story behind all y'alls tattoos?

Most of my sleeve is just because I like it, the bright colors and the lilies, but the compass is an element that me, my hubby, & our children all have tatted on us somewhere. The compass is to guide us always back to family.
The tree frog is because I worked in SC for a few months, away from my home in KS, and the condo I stayed in had a little balcony that was populated with little green tree frogs. I was lonely so I took to talking to the frogs, calling them all Clyde LOL...I hope that story doesn’t make me sound insane!

The Shoulder one is my newest just a couple of weeks old. Just cos who doesn't love a turtle. This is the start of a reef theme. Going to be adding a sea horse, starfish, coral, weed, fishes, shells etc over time. Just a fun colourful half sleeve.

The lower back tattoo is to cover some scarring and skin discolouration. The star gazer lillies were my wedding flowers

Inner wrist is a memorial to my dad who I loved with all my heart, he grew yellow roses in our garden. The butterfly is for our son Lucas who was stillborn and never got the chance to spread his wings and fly.

All your tattoos are great, so beautiful and so many heart warming stories of loss and love, strength and power captured forever.

    Kudos to you all.

Another one of mine, this one is for my cousin Quinton who was killed in a construction accident. We were very close and I miss his laugh

That was my first one, I got it to mark turning 40 because I was all weird and angsty about 40. It's copied from a piece of art.

    o070yAg.jpg

Most recent, and the only one that's normally visible.

All are dog themed and I prefer simplistic to complicated (on me). Although I have great admiration for some of the works of art I've seen tattooed on other people.

Lol I can second this. My unmedicated labor was more painful than anything I’ve experienced and I’ve been through 23 surgeries. Lol. Kudos to you girl for your unmedicated labor, takes one hell of a woman/warrior to do it!
