Anyone taking a supplement to bump up weight loss?

I am losing a pound plus weekly, but would like to bump it up a bit to keep me motivated. I know other methods - exercise .. lower carbs etc - but curious if any of the supplements actually worked.

No they don't. Be patient - you are losing at a good rate. All you need to do is be in a calorie deficit.9

If you find one let me know 😂
But no I take certain supplements to help with joint pain and hair growth but not for weight loss.4 -

No. Nothing that is legal will do anything to boost your weight loss. Most weight loss pills are just caffeine pills to give you energy to feel like you are losing more, but they don't actually do anything.
A pound a week is great weight loss and you should be patient with it and continue on that path. Trying to rush it won't do you any good. Losing slowly and steadily will not only allow you to have a healthy weight loss, but it will help you build and prepare for maintence.7 -

Well . . . with a lot of the supplements, if you usually weigh yourself while carrying your wallet, they'll make you a little lighter. Lots of them contain caffeine, which (for some) has a tiny energizing effect that helps, but there are lots cheaper sources of caffeine that let you better control dosage to avoid negative effects.
BTW: Lower carbs at the same calories has limited to no effect on weight loss, other than initial water weight decreases, according to many research studies.
You did leave out one valid method, though: Increasing daily life activity (not just exercise) to increase NEAT (Non-Exercise Activity Thermogenesis). Better yet, it's free. More info in this thread:

But a pound a week is good, especially if you're already below 175-200 pounds and an average-height or smaller woman.
Best wishes!3 -
Echo what everyone else is saying. One thing I tell myself is, you didn’t put the weight on overnight, so why would you expect it to come off that quickly. Just keep focused on what your doing and a year from now you will be where you want, or well on your way.1

Cutting calories is what’s important to lose weight (though not to am unhealthy level), not only carbs. Reducing carbs can result in some water weight loss, but not loss of fat.1

As a rule:
If it's legal and safe it's not effective
If it's effective it's not safe and usually illegal3 -
if it were as easy as taking a pill wouldn't everyone just do that? and no one would be fat!0

Same as everyone else. A lb a week is a good rate to lose the weight, and it's also a good way to learn what you need to in order to maintain after you lose the weight. For me, losing the weight was always the easy part. Not putting it back on is my struggle. This time around I'm maintaining pretty well because I learned to change my habits. A pill wouldn't teach me how to do that
Stay with it, you'll get to your goal.1
