Anyone find true love & a partner after 30?

I’m about to turn 30 in a month and am single af. Last relationship ended 7 months ago.

My love life has been pretty rocky. My college love/soulmate unexpectedly passed away when I was 23 after 4 years together and I’ve never really found anyone who quite compares in terms of kindness, intelligence and overall awesomeness. A few months after he died, I fell in love again. What started out as a fairytale turned into a 5 year long roller coaster of physical and emotional abuse that finally ended in July 2017 after we moved in and got engaged. I started another relationship with a very decent man in late 2017 that ended very amicably this past fall.

I know i definitely need some single time so I am just concentrating on living my best life and having fun. I’ve started dating again and am getting discouraged that I’m 30 and haven’t yet found the right guy. I recognize I have time and don’t need a man to be happy but I would eventually like to find someone. I irrationally wonder if it’s too late. Also I think my "bad luck" in love has somewhat discouraged me.

Anyone been in a similar boat? How did it work out for you?

My situation is a little different, but yes I found love after 30. I met my husband on a dating site when I was 31 and he was 38. He is truly an amazing human being, and I never expected to find someone like him. I had some less than positive dating experiences when I was younger, and decided to just be happy being single. Except I did dabble with the dating website, so... keep your options open, I guess. And I know people older than us who were single for a long time and finally found someone to love, like in their 50s or 60s. It happens!

My mother was married for the first time at age 42 (I was born when she was 43). This was in 1955, when single women over 25 were almost considered doomed to permanent spinsterhood They were one of the most contented, sympatico couples I've ever observed.

Strive to be a great you, and hold out for the best.

My husband and I met online when we he had just to turned 30 and I was about to turn 31. We hit our 5 year dating anniversary earlier this year and in two months we are celebrating our 3 year wedding anniversary. Love happens. I'm sorry for your loss. I promise it can happen after 30. I also promise that 30 is not a death sentence and there I is so much fun ahead of you.
